Alright so im brand new to detailing, but have been reading alot and this is what I came up with. All recommendations would be helpful. Curious on opinions, seems pretty costly for me so any recommendations will be helpful

Order:
Wash, clay, medium polish, fine polish, sealant, wax

Products I chose:
Pinnacle XMT (Swirl remover)
WGPPE (Finishing polish)
meguiars mirror glaze #20 (sealant)
WG Fuzion Wax (wax)

WGPPE is a paint cleaner/glaze, not a polish, it has no abrasives at all......

If you want the fine polish it would be WG Finishing Glaze, it's a finishing polish... Not a Glaze as the name implies...

Also Megs M20 is a cleaner Sealant...

M21 would be the Sealant, that or WG Deep Gloss Paint Sealant.

Go with WG Deepgloss Sealant 3.0 better yet go with the complete WG line.

Alright so how about this

WG Swirl remover 3.0

WG Finishing Glaze 3.0

WGDGP 3.0 (sealant)

WG Fuzion Wax

Also I do have some pretty deep scratches on the car near the door what would be the best way to remove these?

Order:
Wash,clay,........
I didn't see any mention of the products you chose to perform the above detailing tasks.

Also:
You might want to include a dedicated decontamination system like IronX, or similar product.

:)

That's the way to go. If you have jacked up paint, you may need WG Uber Compound instead of TSR - or you can get all 3.

You can get a free sample of the WG sealant if you spend $95 - enough to do yr car 3 or 4x.

First off, I gotta say you guys rock, helping the new members (and me many times!)

Just taking a quick eyeball peek, I see Pinnacle XMT makes 4 swirl remover products. I don't think I seen which you had bought? Might be a tad too mild for your needs on some nasty areas of your vehicle?

As for the Meg's #20, and while I haven't used it in some years, it was a product that worked very well IMO. Well enough, that on a black Lincoln town car I once owned, and under close scrutiny of inspection under any form of lighting, zero evidence of hazing, clouding, or anything else to dislike. A great product I remember IMO.

Topping it with Fuzion, sure, if I had a pot of Fuzion on hand, I might even be coating my forehead with the stuff! Hee Hee.

Sadly, that forehead (What I refer to as Cul De Sacs) seems to be getting bigger and bigger as the years go by! LOL

As these folks have said, and it might be possible that WG PPE might be redundant if you're using other means of cleaning the paint beforehand.

Welcome to the forum, and have fun!

Thank you so much guys!! Now my paint isnt really all that bad exept for certain areas. Id say i have less than a 2 inches of surface area of completely deep scratched paint. As for swirls yes all over the car. Now I am trying to kinda keep this project a little more cost friendly I was looking at the WG products they do seem to be pretty pricy. Now if I went with the
The Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover Kit, I would still need to wax and that brings me closer to the $200 mark for products, and I also need to buy the PC!

Here are a couple sample pictures of what I could take of my car. Hard to see.

Swirls throughout the whole car.

No DA Machine, huh?

Well, that's something that should be seriously considered soon.

A good DA, like the Griots, or the Porter Cable, a couple backing plates, a dozen pads, and you'll be on your way.

Won't matter what polishes you have on hand, you're gonna be worked to death trying to correct swirls, and scratches by hand.

You can buy such tools anywhere, but you're unlikely to get a better deal than here, when they hold the good sales, and shipping.

You can often buy polishes, and compounds in many places today, not only online. Paint Supply Shops, auto parts stores, even wally worlds, have many megs products on hand to mention one product line.

Looks like your Camaro has lots of black plastic too. Consider a good protectant, something like CarPro CQuartz DLX. Yes, pricey, at first purchase, but cheap in the long run. You'll get many months of protection, versus garbage of the likes of Armor All, etc, which wash off after the first rain, or wash.

Something like the PC, with White and Orange LC Flat Pads, (5.5"), a 5" LC Yellow Urethane Backing Plate, and Meg's 205 Mirror Glaze Polish would probably correct 97% of your issues. The other 3% might need a bit more work.

Rubber, and Plastic. Don't overlook such as being unimportant. There's many killer products here for such.

The Pic looks a bit fuzzy, but I take it that polishing will probably never totally eliminate it, am I correct in this thinking?

Your options would probably be few. Either correct with polishes the best you can, then maybe do a touch up wit either factory touch up paints, or the Dr Colorchip System, or go the more expensive route and have the damage professionally repaired.

Alright thank you, and would it be worth it to me to buy a compound then finish with finer polish? Also I was going to ask what type of PADS should I get? orange and white? or?

Just get a porter cable with pads and meguiars ultimate compound/polish.
Orange pad for the compound and white for the polish.
Use whatever wax or sealant you want. Boom, done.

You should definitely pick up a DA. You will get better results then doing it by hand.

This is another option to go with if you need something very good over the counter.

WG sealant is not listed under the free samples. I was going to get some with my last order but it's not on the list.

Head over here. There is a good sale going on WG products.
Wolfgang Car Care Products, Paint Sealant, Best Paint Sealant, Synthetic Wax, Car Wax

I would pick up some uber compound instead of fuzion considering that GM clear is typically hard.
