Good Evening and Happy New Year AG's,

I'm considering having my logo and other information applied to the rear window of my personal vehicles (Kia Optima and Nissan Altima), which double as my mobile detailing vehicles. I did a quick search and saw a few things here on AG, but I wanted to ask anyway.

First of all, what needs to be placed on the window to be an affective advertisement. I would assume, Business Name, Phone Number, and Website. Anything else?

Which method is a better overall product, as far as durability is considered. Basic lettering or a perforated rear window vinyl?

This is more or less a trial run, as in two years time our leased vehicle will be replaced with an SUV that will become my permanent mobile vehicle.

Vinyl will last longer. Perforated seems to peel around the edges to easily, and i have also seen it get a dingy look if it is a lighter color.
 
I had just my business's website made into a white vinyl and placed it on the rear of my car for some advertisement. I also had 50 smaller sized ones for customers car(if they allow it). I might look into adding a number or something in the future but I wanted to keep it simple. I think the larger perforated vinyl might be costly but I've never looked into it.

Go to a professional shop and have them do it. It will cost a little more but will look better and last longer.

The nice thing about the perforated vinyl, you can have images added. Basically could do your business card on your rear window. Need to check the laws in your state to make sure full window graphics are authorized.

Yea I think your number would be a good idea. I plan on changing it up sometime but I wanted something clean and "cheap" to get on my truck. I take forever to make decisions :p
 
wrap the whole sides and the rear glass
simple and easy , make a statement!
will pay back better than a few decals

My wifes company has all of their vehicles wrapped. All of them. As in, the 4-wheelers, John Deere gators, and even the old beat-up late 80's pickup truck they use to clear roads in trailer parks and other rental developments (she works for a property management/real estate company). In addition of course to their main vehicles (small fleet of GMC Yukon Denali's) Definitely makes a statement. Their company is instant recognizable and is a household name in the community even by people who have never even considered renting or buying a home from them.

It's worked for them anyway! It definitely makes a bold statement. Every stay-at-home mom selling the latest trendy skinny-wrap or makeup kit has their number and website in white lettering pasted to the back of their vehicle. Not saying it's ineffective, but, it does become part of the 'white noise' so to speak. If you're marketing, you want to stand out!
 
Gotta look professional,...id lean towards the wrap. Problem is if u get an suv in future youve wasted money on having the car wrapped.

My first two vehicles I had vinyl letterering professionally installed. Whatever u decide make sure its readable. I see a lot of signs on cars u cant even read.
