Possible Spring 2014 Chicagoland Detail Day?

When I got off of work I had to hit the quarter carwash and spray out the wheelwells, underneath and in the cracks and crevaces with a powerwasher. Then, once I got home, I did a DG rinseless wash, cleaned the wheels with GC's Sticky Citrus, wiped down the engine bay, then pulled the car down into the underground garage for a quick vac, sprayed the wheelwells down w/ AA (see, its good for something, LOL) and then applied a coat of AW to it, yes, ontop of DGNCC and I don't care. Like I posted in the actual DG thread for thwe coating, I wanted the finish taken up to 11 for the meet tomorrow and AW will do just that!

I was going to do a rinseless on it tomorrow morning but its going to be kinda cool in the morning so I decided to do it today and get it out of the way. Now I've got more time to help get set up, even though Jeff has done an awesome job doing that already it appears!

I'm sure others are doing just as I did today, can't wait to see all the variety of rides tomorrow and based on what I've read here, variety will be in full effect!

Washed and put on a coat of White Diamond topped with AW, in-between taking my son to see Godzilla. See everyone tomorrow!

Washed, clayed and waxed the G8 GT for tomorrow. Looking forward to DetailFest Chicago!

Didn't get a chance to do any more on the car...bummed about that, but really excited about tomorrow!!

Was only able to decontaminate with Iron X shampoo and also the liquid. Then clayed only the vertical panels so far---also used HD Speed on the same panels. First time using the product so we shall see how it turns out once the sun comes up. Luckily I told the dealer to not even consider touching the car, so very minor blemishes all together.

Unfortunately the interior is lagging, but maybe I'll do a quick wipe-down tomorrow--floor is dirty though :(.

See everyone tomorrow.

Well its almost 9 p.m. and I'm going to try and lay down, pretty excited, its kinda like the night before I head down to the Dragon, can't sleep, LOL!

What a great day! A pleasure meeting and conversing with everyone today. This old dog learned a couple of new tricks especially the cleaning of car seats with a polisher. A big thank you to Roger for setting this up and a big thank you to Jeff for being a wonderful host. Finally a big thank you to Mothers, Autogeek.net, 303 Products, Solution Finish and fellow Autogeeks for the generous treasure trove of sample products.
