Quality Cleaner wax

Just to note, all the cleaner/waxes mentioned in this thread so far, (except the HD product), I've used and they all work really well.

They key is to use the right cleaner/wax for the condition of the paint. Out of all products mentioned they have ranged from,

  1. Very Light Cleaning
  2. Light Cleaning
  3. Medium Cleaning

The goal is to use the least aggressive product to get the job done and also use the softest pad possible when doing a one-step to scratch-sensitive clear coats.

Just to note, there are no longer any heavy cleaning one-step cleaner/waxes in the automotive world since clearcoats were intrroduced. These aggressive product did exist back before clearcoats and still can be found in the marine world but they are too aggressive to finish out nice on clearcoats.

Using a cleaner/wax was one of my classes at MTE this year.

I believe there may be a chart somewhere here on AGonline and I'll look for it in a moment, but was wondering if you'd listed these products in aggresiveness elsewhere on the forum beside the charts? A particular thread maybe? I'll take a look at your articles list because I could have sworn that I read some sort of article about using these cleaner waxes and their aggressiveness.

I really like this line of thought.

Polishing pad after wash, iron-x and clay.

Wool pad with a rotary you say?:dblthumb2:
Never used it, do you work it like most polishes/compounds?

You will make me go broke giving us all the good reviews on so many products. Lol

You know I'm a big Meg's fan:dblthumb2:

That's the reason why I recommended 2. :)

Also with D151 one can use any pad from MF to a foam Finishing pad depending on what is needed correction wise. :xyxthumbs:

Also works great with a Wool pad on a Rotary.
