Review: NEW 2014 Mothers Back-to-Black Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner

Very nice review. All I can add to it is "told you so" on the trim cleaner. :dblthumb2:
 
I've been using this product for about six months. Put it on my B pillars, side mirror mounts etc.
I use 2 coats and never did think of using a sealant on it. Have had very good results. Seems to last me about 2 months and 3 or 4 washing w/high pressure washer.
I totally promote this new version of B2B!!

It's not a new version - it's a different product.

Back-to-Black Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner. It's a cleaner, to be used before applying our trim restorer.
 
Awesome review. Will go out and get this soon. What do you think of applying a sealant like Dlux after to protect, instead of the Mothers trim restorer that was suggested by Forrest? Would this leave anything behind that would affect the bonding of a sealant like Dlux or the other similar trim sealants?
 
Most retailers set their planograms in early February. Give it a few more weeks to find it on the shelf.
 
WOW! Looks like a restorer, even tho its not. This followed with WGTS would do it.
 
That looks promising. Looks like a perfect candidate to get trim squeaky clean before either a dressing or coating. Might have to pick this up soon.

IMO you should be fine. When you use this product, you will find that all treated trim is dry to the touch. I will be using B2B Original formula, I had nothing but good results with it, including great durability.

I agree! Its a great cleaner. I recommend this product to anyone, regardless of your favorite trim dressing/sealant.

Honestly thats not a question I would be able to answer, thats better suited for the company. However, all I know is the product works. Theres always a limit to what companies are willing to release about their products. We cant expect them to reveal everything. Thanks for looking!

The cleaner/brush combo loosens and lifts deeply embedded dirt, old wax and the layer of oxidation off the plastic/rubber surface, leaving a clean surface behind.

It's the same principle of removing oxidation from a painted surface.

We've had some threads show up lately that'll post more like 'look at me' with no thought of, and never actually being an active part of the forums. Glad you're not one like that brother! :props:

I'd suspect after a thorough cleaning that whatever trim sealant or dressing you choose afterward has a MUCH greater chance of success.

I might get some and then try some side by sides of WGTS and UTTGP, maybe even PERL (and whatever else I've got floating around out there). ;)

I just checked Advance Auto Parts and all my local stores have it in stock! I'll buy there on-line, use their coupons, pickup in the store. Sometimes I'll stand in the store and buy from my phone to get the discounts even! :laughing: (Doesn't hurt that they are constantly having sales, but the real kicker is the spend $50 get $25 off your next $50, now THAT is saving money.) :D
