There are a few back roads that take forever to show tar after a snowfall! I actually prefer traveling a snow covered road as opposed to a treated road. There's no salt, sand, or traffic!![]()
50 in Orlando today - it's getting pretty serious around here..

I hear the same from my old Pittsburgh friends who have moved south. "We had a really tough winter last year- I think it was on a Tuesday".

I enjoy winter when it's not endangering anybody. It's the killer storms that really are tough to deal with.
Having grown up in western ny, winters are nothing like they were 30 or 40 years ago. Winters now are quite tame. I have pictures when we were kids climbing out our second story bedroom window and sliding down a snow drift that was as high as that window.
Now its a little bit of an inconvenience at times. It's the super cold that sucks not so much the snow.

Right....well we'll be driving, not running and when I wanna see some snow I can drive to the Cherahola Skyway and see it, enjoy the view and then turn around and head back down the mountain. We can't wait to get out of here, keeping my fingers crossed, time will tell.

Everyone keeps freaking out around here, but they just need to man up and get used to it. It's January, It's winter, It's going to be cold. I'm blessed to have an indoor job, but I really feel sorry for those who have to be out side in this to earn a living.
