Sorry....

:D

No your not! Lol!
On the flip side, Christmas lights look kind of silly on palm trees! Lol! :-)

There are a few back roads that take forever to show tar after a snowfall! I actually prefer traveling a snow covered road as opposed to a treated road. There's no salt, sand, or traffic! :-)

Same here, even with my RWD and snow tires i like driving on pure snow like in the picture.

50 in Orlando today - it's getting pretty serious around here..

I hear the same from my old Pittsburgh friends who have moved south. "We had a really tough winter last year- I think it was on a Tuesday".

It's really weird to click on the weather forecast for my area ... at the top - it's 70F right now.

And then - there's an advisory box with this in it:

WINTER PRECIPITATION AND SOME SNOW ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS THURSDAY EVENING INTO FRIDAY.

and it will be 70F again on Saturday...

Haha Bill - thanks for the for real LOL!

Honestly I would rather be where it's cold daily during the winter. Here it can be 70 degrees one day then 20-30 degrees the next day. It drives everyone crazy here. You never get adjusted to a temperature from the constant fluctuations.

I enjoy winter when it's not endangering anybody. It's the killer storms that really are tough to deal with.

Having grown up in western ny, winters are nothing like they were 30 or 40 years ago. Winters now are quite tame. I have pictures when we were kids climbing out our second story bedroom window and sliding down a snow drift that was as high as that window.

Now its a little bit of an inconvenience at times. It's the super cold that sucks not so much the snow.

I couldn't agree more, I would be more than happy to put up with the cold if we could have some beautiful deep snow to look at. Instead it's all brown and grey slush frozen solid. Like we skipped the snowing part and went straight to deep freeze.

I'm actually enjoying this winter.... Finally getting some decent snow. Since I have a winter vehicle, I don't mind going out in it. The truck drives beautifully in it :xyxthumbs:

We got a foot yesterday, and I helped the husband clear the driveway and walkways.
It wasn't so bad. Snow looks so pretty coming down. Everything just gets quiet and peaceful.

Right....well we'll be driving, not running and when I wanna see some snow I can drive to the Cherahola Skyway and see it, enjoy the view and then turn around and head back down the mountain. We can't wait to get out of here, keeping my fingers crossed, time will tell.

Been there in early November and there was snow.:buffing:

Calling for frost again in south Florida, at least on the gulf side. Bad thing is I am less than a mile from the water.

Ehh suck it, I love the seasons, people complain about the cold during the winter, the pollen during the spring, the heat during the summer and the leaves in the fall, I just think people like to complain, I'll take any season

Move? What are you talking about?
By moving south we give up our God given right to to complain about the weather. Its a tradition handed down from generation to generation.
We older not wiser geezers have a resposibility to teach the younger ones the proper way to complain.
Stay warm my friends.

Look at the bright side of all this cold...think of how many mosquitos we're killing! Now, THAT is a good thing.

As of this moment, I show -12.9°, add in the breeze and it's -26°! Maybe, just maybe the bugs ain't all that bad?

Bill

Got to love the single digits. It's 3 here...-17 with the wind chill. I've not seen this kind of cold since I was a kid growing up in Denver.

Everyone keeps freaking out around here, but they just need to man up and get used to it. It's January, It's winter, It's going to be cold. I'm blessed to have an indoor job, but I really feel sorry for those who have to be out side in this to earn a living.

My black car is turning white from all the salt. Now, there is something to complain about! :D

It is 2 degrees in Chicago this morning. My Genesis is getting the 25k mile service so i got a Sonata Hybrid. No one told me that the engine turns off at a stop light, the car took forever to warm up!!!!!!! :(
