Waxing or glazing a new paint job?

We have a paint booth at our store and I just had a conversation with the painter about waxing/sealing a vehicle after it's been freshly repaired and painted. He mentioned on one breath that he "will sometimes hand glaze them on their way out" and in the next breath he mentioned that we shouldn't apply any type of wax/sealant to the paint for over a month to allow it time to cure.

So (without discussing/ debating the shame of needing to glaze a fresh paint job) am I over thinking this? Isn't 3M Hand Glaze just another form of wax?

Glad to see you again!

My 3M IHG contains no waxes or silicones.
This product, and M07, are two favorites for fresh paint.
They are not "sealers" of paint.

As far as I know 3M Hand Glaze is just another oil rich liquid that will hide small imperfections/gives the a pop long enough to please the customer as they come, and pick up there redone vehicle

That's true, good statement. Albeit those are never dumb questions, no one knows everything, and everyone can enjoy learning with expert comments.

Generally I only participate 30 days after painting for detailing purposes. That time I know it's generally safe to seal, but nothing else about it.

May I feel I'm dumb for enjoying your topic? heheh
