Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

Looking very nice Roger. I like the white accent light look :xyxthumbs:
Thanks Monica

It almost looks like an extension of the stripes, wait till I take pics tomorrow, it will look even better.

I should also mention that my buddy Hectour also installed a front support brace. I should've taken a pic of the 2 of them side by side. The stock one was rather thin and used 4 bolts to hold it in place. Then there's the aftermarket one, twice as thick and held in place with 2 bolts, plus powder coated in gloss red, too bad you can't see it but it's there now! This is going to firm things up producing less flex but has also created a slippery slope as there's more chassis bracing to buy, they go in the front wheel well and are produced by RRM and are tubular in shape. These will be bought and installed in the future but not too far into the future, before the Dragon run for sure

No more braces till you get those coilovers! I'm digging the white lenses.

Probably going to be doing those front braces before the Dragon, LOL!

I forgot to add how the stripe continues onto the painted part of the dash. BTW I took this while at a lights so sorry the pic is a little crooked.

That is a really cool extra Roger! And I love the little critter in the boot as well ;)

Because I helped out a friend, Ted with that Ruby Red GT500, he took it upon himself to return the favor and I didn't see it coming because I just wanted to help out a friend with his dream car! I should also mention that my other buddy, Steve who owns Xtreme Graphics in Lombard Illinois, took it upon himself to stripe it like my car (a little different but that's ok) I can't remember this many random acts of kindness to come my way 😂

Now this car...yes it's a MINI but for a 18 month old, well, it's close enough and has more options than my own car, including LED headlights even! It also has an aux port for playing music through the phone. Finally it has a remote control as well, unbelievable!

My wife brought her Mazda 6 up there to pick it up but sadly it doesn't fit, so I'm going to ask my buddy Hectour's wife to pick up for us as she has an xB.

It's been an awesome day, first the Iron Gate show and then going to my buddy's graphic shop and being presented with my daughters first car

Looks like next weekend is when I will be "going to town" on the Abarth. Friday night will be chemical decon and mechanical recon, then the baggie test and if need be, Griots clay bar. Once done, I head to bed and get well rested for the next day, where the polishing gets done. I was very impressed with Optimum Hyper Polish so I bought a bottle but we will see how it does on light swirls on a DD. Then I will use the bottle of paint prep because I have it to use and then coat the car twice. Once done, sometime on Saturday evening, it will sit until Monday morning when I leave for work, giving it over 24 hrs out of the environment.

I'm deciding if I should use my DP paint prep instead of the Griots paint prep liquid spray...thoughts?

So...it was in the mid 80's Tue and Wed, 80 yesterday, nice trend right....today, drizzle and upper 40's. Tomorrow was supposed to be mid 70's but that has now changed and for the worse, so I'm not coating my car if its going to be in the upper 60's. IMO my experience with DG paint coating wasn't very good because I coated the car when the temp was in the mid 50's outside and a little warmer down in the garage, so I'll have to wait.....

stay "tuned"

Tampa this week.

Tuesday 98 Wednesday 98 Thursday 96 today 97

We broke record high temps all four days and just missed all time record high of 99. That's in the shade, throw the sun factor in and it's freaking hot down here, Florida hot!!!

Roger... what temps are you looking for to coat the car?

Ugh, high 90's? Man I hope you have AC.

Well it's 48 outside right now and because the garage is partially underground it's cool down here. I was hoping to work on the car when it's mid to upper 70's because I'd like the curing time to be done in better temps.

I guess I'll just have to wait it out till next weekend, Memorial Day weekend, burgers, brats and detailing...stay "tuned" 👈

I'd wait for the temp and humidity to come up a bit. WG Uber is pretty easy to apply, but you'll be better when it's warmer.
