Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

Monica, your favorite muscle car is a 74' AMX Javlin?

There cool cars. My Dad had a 71 Javelin SST 401sb color was Jolly Green, he bought it new. He sold it before I came around, but heard many stories. It was a odd car, parts were from all over the place. If I remember correctly the block was AMC, the trans was a 727 TorqueFlite, the rear was I don't remember. There was this and that from The Big Three.

Not necessarily a '74, but I'd take that year :xyxthumbs:

They are odd and end up being sleepers... usually nobody knows what the heck they are.

Little funny story for you Roger that may give you a chuckle (it made me laugh out loud):

At work I have nothing but car guys. We all have our own opinions of what we like, dislike, etc. Sometimes conversations, comments, etc are quite colorful.....
Anyway...

Yesterday a friend of my coworker who sits next to me came up and they were discussing his break down the night before... turns out a line on his air-ride suspension broke and left him stranded on the side of the road. His car is bagged, heavily cambered and slammed to the ground.
I am thinking of you at this point. I don't say anything (I kept my opinion to myself).

BUT! One of my not-so-PC coworkers was sitting nearby and chimed in:

Non-PC Coworker: HA! That's what you get.

Friend with bagged car: Why?

Non-PC Coworker: That bagged, cambered, slammed **** is so ******* stupid. Get a suspension and tire set up that you can actually drive.

And he goes right back to work....

I'm sorry but I started laughing so hard out loud. It was all the things I was thinking but don't want to say.
The guy didn't care and just blew it off.

Well I probably wouldn't kick someone when their down but the non-PC guy has a point

I've decided that next year I will be swapping out my intake, well actually, my buddy Hectour will doing this for me. In place of my current intake with be the ATM "Holy Cowl". Its named that for a reason and the reason is simple, the filter part of the intake goes into the cowl area, thus only breathing non engine compartment air. Yeah its going to be louder inside the car but who cares, I don't, I want the car to be louder, just wish I wasn't so leary about the high flow DP or I'd have that too! I will have NO problem selling off my aftermarket intake to offset the cost of this intake which is $349.00. I already have this companies FMIC on my car and its one of the best on the market, quality construction as well as great clamps for the boost tubes, very important on a turbo car! The intake also comes with what my buddy Hectour calls a "filter condom" to keep any water away but basically your not going to be getting too much water in there anyways. My buddy Hectour is a perfectionist so the hole to be drilled in the cowl for this will be oversealed, probably pick up some vacuum line and cut it for an even better seal.

Its never too early to plan out mods:dblthumb2:

Damn, Rog. Why don't you just let me give you my Hemi from my truck?? ;)

Sounds like a cool mod, bud!

Bumpin' around Google netted this photo, such a beautiful site!!

So I got some good news today, found out my buddy from back home is coming down to the Dragon with us this year! He hasn't been down there in quite some time and since his last time out has upgraded his ride considerably. His new ride is one of these:

This is NOT his actual car but it looks exactly like this one. It was bought from the 2nd owner and had 79K on the clock, all stock too and its his dream car, so I'm happy for him and very excited that him and his g/f are making it down with our small group. Its only 61 more days till the run :props:

Even though I'm CPT SLOW for more than one reason I'm trying to get him to "step up" the M5's performance some. Nothing crazy, just ICE (intake/computer/exhaust) Now he's leaning towards a computer tune that eliminates the gov and adds about 25 whp and 30 wlbs of tq. I've heard these cars with an axle-back that is basically straight pipe and its chilling!!! As for the intake I would just go with a Dinan system and call it a day, better yet, go Dinan across the board, even if it doesn't offer a straight pipe exhaust. The reason its ok to go straight pipe is it has resonaters, the stock system has 4 mufflers back there, 2 on each side....choke choke choke! I'm 14 years older than him and he said he's channeling his "inner old guy" to keep it stock, I'm the little devil on his shoulder and already pushed off the angel on the other side, LOL!

I don't "street walker" my car too much but this pic is awesome!

That reminds me.... was behind the 500XL? the other day. I had no idea how big they were!

Was it the SUV? You saw X on it but not both XL. The L has a "unique" look to say the least.
