where do i buy the water tank??

hello guys, as some of you may know im in the process of putting together my hhr for a mobile unit. i'm ready to make the water tank purchase but i cant find any place where i can buy them locally. im in miami fl. ive searched online, but the shipping cost is outrageous. ive searched craigslist and i only see big 100+ water tanks. im looking for a 50-55 gallon water tank. i tried the yellow pages search.. and i keep getting plumbers, and septic tanks vendors. perhaps im searching it the wrong way. for the guys that have purchased a water tank before, where did you guys get it from? i would prefer to get it locally so i dont have to spend on shipping cost. thanks in advance.
 
I purchased mine on Craig's list. But you can try northern tools, us plastic supply, southern states. There are many other sites just google it , youll get plenty of sites you can purchase them from .

Your Welcome , that tank is a sprayer tank . Are you planing on running a pressure washer . If so you may want to see what size the inlet /outlet is on the tank . Must of the spray tanks run off of ondemand pumps and a little sray wand . Im not saying it want work just make sure the inlet /outlet is big enough for what ever hose you plan on using .

i really havent seen the need for a pressure washer yet. foam gun with a hose or rinseless washes is what ill be doing. am i going to need a water pump for this?
 
You could use an on-demand pump northern sells them . There are a couple of write ups on here about them . It takes a 12 volt power source

thanks for the heads up mr sparkle, but i already order the 55 gallon tank from northern tools.

Did your tank arrive yet (any photos), if so how is everything working out for you using tank?
 
I dont have a water tank nor have i looked into getting one yet but if i were having a hard time tracking one down and had to jerry rig something id consider contacting a RV company that sells parts. Its worth a shot. Or possibly contact mobile detailers in your area and ask them.

I have wondered with all the mobile detailers on this site why autogeek doesnt sell the larger mobile detailing equipment? Maybe shipping cost?

Thanks shipping cost may be the reason, I contacted one company the tank wash $130.00 the shipping (to house) was $200.00 (Business address shipping) may be lower.
I want a tank 150 gallons or no less than 50 gallons
After reading reviews if I can find correct fitting I may go with this item

They have any size or shape you could ever need. Don't know about shipping cost.
I got mine when I had my business from Northern Tool, 100gallon. I also got all the pressure washers and generator from there as well. I also built a couple of wands, and hose reels.
Another thing is to keep extra parts of everything you have. I have had times where on site for a job, I had a hose go out or a fitting go out, and you need to be able to fix that stuff right there.

Try tank depot they are in pompano beach,fl. Do you detail car just on the weekends or full time?
