Seriously though....I just introduced myself the other day after a couple weeks of lurking and reading literally hundreds of posts on just about everything. I'm picking up on the lingo (DA, APC, GG, etc.). Reading all the posts and comments and advice is just solidifying my resolve to make it in this business. As a Glazier in my real life I spent the last 2 months polishing glass day after day. I think this will translate well when I get my hands on a polisher and get to work on some cars this Spring. I can't wait! And the cherry on top is I've got the cash to get some great equipment for interior work to get me going while the weather here in the Chi remains cold. So, submitted for your approval, the Metro Vac N Blo 4.0, Aztec hot water extractor, and Vapamore MR-100. Obviously, I'll be shopping the interior care products to complement the tools so any suggestions or advice is greaty appreciated.

Again, thanks everyone for being part of such a great community. I've never seen another forum like this. And sorry for rambling on lol :props:

I know exactly what you are talking about with AGO being addicting and w/ the lingo! When I was lurking it took me a while to get all the abbreviations down. I had to google most of them at first haha.

As far as AGO goes, I joined up 10 days ago and have 170 posts already. It is definitely addicting!!

Enjoy the ride. It is very addicting. Personally, I'd skip on the vac and blow and just get the master blaster or air force blaster. Hot water extractor...little green machine (or some variant) will work just fine (especially if you are just going to be a weekend warrior). Unless you mean you already bought those items...

Well now that I'm on a temporary layoff I'm looking to do this as much as I can. I have the time and motivation to get out there and spread the word. I've already gotten a positive response from quite a few people looking to get their interior back in shape after this horrible winter. Word of mouth until my business cards arrive.

Wait till you experience Black Friday - Xmas sales

for you it's becoming, but for me it became :D

stick around and you'll keep learning.

others says read, read, read and I agree but I would also like to add to participate, participate, participate as well.

I went to Meguiar's for around my 4th time (give or take). At the end Michael Stoops asked "does anybody have any questions?"

I raised my hand and he looked at me and said with a smile "of course you do" then proceeded to answer my question

Haha. I hear ya. The abbreviations are still killing me, but I'm getting there.

Burned up some plastic myself and I just found this site a few months ago.

From what I've gathered so far in my short time on here is that there is about 20 different ways to do one thing. It just depends on who you ask. And that's cool because you nay be in a situation where you can't do it your usual way. And then you remember that one guy who told how he did the same thing using something else. That's why I'm soaking it up. So much to learn. :)

I build up my cart, I then make my order during a sale and as I soon as I purchase my order by clicking "place order"

I already start browsing for new things before my order even comes in haha

at first it was putting dents in my wallet but now after what I've learned from AGO and the tools and products I've purchased. I actually made my money back...:welcome:

Overall, this is a great community full of people with big heart. Chances are you will get the answers you're looking for, so don't be afraid to ask. The best advice I could give is search and read up as much as you could on products of interest. Plenty of helpful/useful info to be had.

As for Vac N Blo, my personal take on it is I'd rather have a dedicated device of each; one to vac (wet & dry), and one for blow drying. That way you'd reduce the chance of marring from debris/particles.

And speaking of search, do check out swanicyouth's Metro Sidekick review. Although it isn't the exact product you're considering, it's a good read, and should give you some idea of what to expect and/or look out for.

I'll definitely look at the link. I never buy without research. And on your other point I enjoy asking questions. The people that answer them don't make you feel like a noob even though they've probably answered the same question a hundred times. That's why I'm so impressed with this forum. Everyone genuinely wants to impart what they've learned. It's awesome.
