Which one is better?

For 19 grand you can get an 09 hemi ram 1500 single cab short bed. Throw in an intake, exhaust, long tube headers, 87mm throttle body, diablo tuner, 3000 stall torque converter, 180 thermostat, an oil catch can and get this guy at hemi fever tuner to write you a custom tune and you will smoke all your listed cars plus you will have a bed and a reliable truck that isnt previously abused. :)
 
His new budget is 11K as stated earlier in the thread.
 
I'm in the midwest and my wrx is just as much fun in the summer and winter with just the change of some tires.

To testify to the durability of an STI motor, I drove mine about 800 miles with only about 2 quarts of oil in it. Seized the motor and warranty covered it. When any motor is Turbo charged you can trash it in less than 100k miles if you don't keep an eye on the oil more often than I did, apparently. I would take a Subaru over any other Japanese manufacturer. There is nothing like AWD burnouts on asphalt, or in a field.:D
Funny comments of don't get a wrx because there are too many on the road, and don't by a Subaru because their motors are garbage. Isn't it ironic?... I see way more Mazdas blowing smoke out the tailpipe than Subarus. For OP's budget he will be hard pressed to find any of the optional cars without some issues. That why I say price parts and the cost for a motor swap in any car you consider. You know if your considering a Z or Mazda then why not meet in the middle and get a Miata? Cheap, fun, and plenty of parts for them.

Hey what can I say I like unique and less commom vehicles. In my neck of the woods there are a ton of Subie WRX's, don't see many MS3's. Had a MS6 with the same turbo motor and loved it.

My partners 08 3.6 HO AWD Charger went 3000K miles on 2 quarts of oil and is still running strong and did not overheat. On previous oil change vehicles oil was not filled to the correct capcity. That was 10k miles ago and no problems since.
 
The STI had bearing going and the Turbo was overheating the oil causing it to evaporate off. Within 3k miles it consumed over 5qts of oil. I can complain because I went through two clutches in that car due to how hard I drove it. With AWD burnouts something has to give. Was fun times until it was totaled. Nothing major against Mazda, I just prefer the fit and finish of Subarus and the value they maintain. When my 05 got totaled in 09 it was valued at over 19k still. Even after it took on a tree head on it still cranked up after the cam gears were repaired. Gotta say though, my S10 has over 159k and I have taken it much easier on it than the STI. Gotta love the 4.3 v6. Seven years ago this little S10 was doing mid 9s in the eighth with only an intake/exhaust/platinum plugs and street tires(Yokohamas). And it was getting over 20mpg at the time. Today is a different story.:)
So has a decision been made on what car OP is getting? At this rate you could be building the car you want for $11k.;)
 
For 11k you could get a pretty clean 2005-2006 Mini Cooper S. I owned an 05' and it was an extremely fun and pretty darn reliable car. Thats where my money would be going.

and they'll all fall out the same.

I went to carmax today, and sat in all of the cars I listed.

The one I liked the best was the Mini Cooper Clubman.
I just loved the feel, the looks, the sound, and the overall experience I had from when I sat down, to when I got out and turned the keys back in.
Can anyone provide feed back on it?

Don't just sit in all of them...DRIVE all of them, and not just around the block. Each one will have a unique personality and drive differently. Your opinions may change after spending drive time behind the wheel. Once you have had drive time with them all, then revaluate your choices. You're ranking may still come out the same. You never know.

There has been a couple of times I've focused in on one car too quickly and then regreted it later as I'm stuck in the car for long time knowing I'd probably been happier with something else if I had just taken the time to properly check it out.

The Mini's I've driven have been a lot of fun. However, I'm not sure how the interior bits would hold up over time and I'm not a fan of the speedo lay out.

You're asking the right questions just in the wrong place. Go on a mini cooper forum and do some research.

Very few people here have experience with a certain model of car because it's a general car detailing forum. While you'll get some good input, you won't get specific answers like you would in a forum specifically for a certain make of car.
 
Also, while it may not apply here, if you are buying a used car that is part of the same generation that is out now, go drive a new one. You'll find out real quick how well that used car held up.

Personally, I'd say to stay away from Mini if you are concerned about reliability.
 
There's a lot of brand new 13-14 cars you can purchase for 17k.

You might of already answered this, but why do you prefer such small cars?

There was no reason that I prefer small cars, besides the cosmetics of them. My list of cars came from cosmetics, then insurance, and then gas mileage.
