It`s an ocean out there, when I open threads it seems they are filled with how-to guides and the products varies from time to time and I get confused - easy
So what should I use for detailing a new car? Keeping it top notch
It´s white non metallic paint, for now it has Polishangel paint sealer on it that are supposed to last for years. That`s an overstatement because where I live, I could literally just drive my car through a pile of salt! And with all the amount of snow that are melting now, the roads won`t be clean in about a couple of months! There are also a lot of damaged roads, gravel, dirt and those wonderful chip rocks they use on the side roads when icy. So all in all, the odds are against me...... I also have limited access to mechanical cleaning most of the time, due to temperatures.
So here goes, and because I have to get this shipped over seas, it`s positive if they come in big bottles or bundles.
So I need a product list of what is the best to use from A-Z and for each point I would like to get suggestions on compounds and not at least what accessories
1. Pre-Wash/degreasing (salt and road chips that get stuck)
2. Soap/washmittens/accessories
3. Detailing a sealed car? Quick detailer or just dry off after wash?
4. Inside doors?
5. Enginge
6. Wheels
7. Wheelarches
8. Interior! Must NOT leave any glossy or slick surface
- dash
- leather (on the doors and arm rest)
- seats are upholstery and alcantara
- floor carpets
- rubber floor matts
9. And when the time is right, polish or any wax/sealant compound that will come in handy to protect in the long run.
10. Have I forgotten anything?
New car, I`m almost afraid to use it
Thanks for any good help
