Okay, this car is really beginning to annoy me. 28 hours in now and almost ready for final polishing. About 10 more hours should do it. I've never had Sonax Full Effect fail me but it did on these wheels. I had to order CarPro Trix to get the job done.

More updates on this project later.....

I can only imagine how this will look like in direct sunlight. Stunning. With this much work put into it, are you planning on applying a coating like 22PLE or similar?

This is amazing to me! I have done a lot of metal polishing for show bikes in the sand dune world and understand the effort, time, and attention to detail that this must take. I am just now learning this art and only hope to be able to get results like this eventually! Great work!

I haven't decided yet. Either 22PLE, Swissvax Mystery, or Raceglaze Signature Black Label. Any of these are just deadly on black.

Metal polishing is one of my weaknesses. I wish I was better at it. I do a Harley once in a while and really struggle. It takes me like 5 times as long as it should to get the pipes and the chrome done right.

Wow, just WOW, this is incredible, especially after seeing the car when you started. I really need to learn how to wetsand.

Machine wet sanding is a lot easier than you think. Get a Griots 3" polisher, some 3M Trizact 5000 grit disks, and read Mike's tutorial using this combination. Once you get used to that, try 3000 grit. (Do not start with the Duetto or the Mini as shown here however. They cut really fast. I mean fast.)

Well, I just got a GG 3", so I've got 1 of those down. I've got to make about $500 before I buy my next batch of stuff, so I'll have to wait to get those, I could have used them today on a battered Nissan Altima, but a few passes(6 or 7) with my Nanoskin microfiber cutting pads, got the majority of them out. I've still got one deep one on the hood though. I can only imagine that wet sanding would have taken at least an hour off of me pulling those scratches out.
