The owner of this Jeep contacted me after running it through an automatic car wash. He had owned the vehicle for one week at the time and it had done damage visible damage to the paints surface in the form of scratches and swirls. At the time of inspection I though a single-stage correction would be all it needed.

AS THE VEHICLE ARRIVED

PAINT CORRECTION PROCESS
blog_401147_2380305_1395624136.jpg

After having the vehicle clean and seeing that actual true condition of the paint, I was shocked at the condition. I couldn't believe a vehicle that was only 4 weeks old could look like this. I am thinking this is a combination of dealer prep work and the automatic car wash.

This is after my first test spot with my Rupes 15 using Optimum Hyper Polish on a orange LC cutting pad. I was not happy with these results and tried another test spot using FG400 on an orange LC cutting pad and I was still not removing enough of the marks. I proceeded to send the client pictures and ask if he would like me to proceed to completing a dual-stage correction on the vehicle. Once it was decided I moved onto using Meguairs M105/D300 on a Megs MF pad, which was then followed up with CarPro Reflect on a black LC finishing pad.

This was after the final polishing was completed and the vehicle received an IPA wipe down followed by a CarPro Eraser whipe down. At this point the vehicle was ready to receive the CQuartz UK coating.

THE FINAL PRODUCT

Thanks for looking!

Oh Gosh only 4 weeks old and such shocking paint damage. Nice save!

Beautiful work you achieved with an excellent turnaround. Thanks for posting and sharing.

did you have any orange peal on the car?

There was some orange peel, however the client was more worried about removing all the swirls and scratches.

And I couldn't believe how much damage was done to the finish on a vehicle that was only a few weeks old. This had to come from being cleaned on the lot at the dealership.

I'm kinda surprised there wasn't a ton of orange peel, when I was looking for jeeps there was orange peel everywhere!

anyways, great turn around on a brand new car

Great work! The jeep looks better than new. Did you put c quartz on the hard top as well or another product ?

I did not apply CQuartz to the hardtop. I actually just used PERL on the top along with the rest of the trim.

Its still a baby and it has been neglected like that a shame but at least you saved it and did amazing job on it

I finally had a chance to try out Reflect this weekend on a Benz, wow it finishes greats and so easy to remove!
Excellent work :xyxthumbs:

They are working fine for me? Not sure what the deal is.

Working for me now. Perhaps it was a glitch in the matrix... Thanks for sharing.

Awesome post, thanks for sharing.
I'm big noob at this stuff and have a black 2007 wrangler in pretty much the same condition. Seeing as my jeep is 7 years older would you recommend anything different than what you did for this younger model?
Thanks

You will need to make sure and do a few test spots till you find the product and pads that will give you your desired results. I tried a few different things before finally deciding on what I went with.

Swanic, CQUK is pretty easy to work with. I have not had any issues with it yet. If you ever would have any issues Corey is always very quick to help you out with any questions you might have.
