My car is filthy & I was wondering if using OPC (diluted 1:3) with 2 bucket wash would help getting it clean faster & safer?! If so when & how to use it?
I usually rinse the whole car with garden hose on jet setting first then foam with CG honeydew in foam gun & let it dwell for 5 minutes then rinse then 2 bucket wash with Optimum Car Wash & 2 merino wool mitts...
Should I spray the car with OPC first? Or just add 1 or 2oz to the foam gun or the wash bucket?
Feedback please!
Thanks

I would add it to the bucket or foam gun myself. Bucket seems best, I do that 99.9% of the time when stripping my car of wax.

No LSP to worry about now, I'll opticoat it soon

Just like what others mention, I do that also when I know I am going to apply new layer of LSP. But mostly I do it to client's ride prior to paint correction.

Thanks guys, I'll add 2oz of the diluted OPC to the wash bucket and see how it goes

Honestly I don't think 2oz of diluted OPC(3:1) is going to do much. I would put a few oz. neat (undiluted) into your wash bucket.

I prefer to use a spray bottle diluted 3:1 OPC and saturate each panel and follow about 30-60 seconds later with my wash mitt and soap.

same way here 3:1 , spray entire vehicle with handheld pump sprayer, then proceed to do traditional wash . squeaky clean .

Exactly, I would do that or use P21S TAW on the paint. Either that, or use the foam gun in its intended use and fill it up with the OPC and allow it to dilute the mixture for you. One time before coating an outside 24/7 daily driver, I filled the continuer up with OPC, put it on the A or B setting, and hit the paint with the mixture. Worked great and was easier for me than spraying it out of the bottle (pump sprayer is a different story and probably easier but I didn't have it at the time.)

I always thought that a couple ounces diluted in gallons of water probably wouldn't do much, unless the paint was practically bare to begin with. I think the spraying it directly on the paint with a paint-safe APC, like OPC, is the way to go. Happy detailing!

Thanks again everyone for your advices..
Spraying it directly on paint works pretty well, panel by panel is better so it won't dry on paint (65 to 75F outside temp.)
