Chemical Guys Wax

Great guide and thank you for putting it together! I honestly have heard pretty good things about CG waxes and am glad to hear that you enjoyed them as well. It seems even the bad ones would be good for some situations (like before an event when the look is everything and beading/durability don't matter).

I will absolutely reference this next time I'm looking for their wax. Happy detailing!

Thank you! I am glad you like my review I will try to make an update in where I can capture more better pictures of each wax at work!

Thank you for the review. I was actually looking at buying the Celeste Detaglio and based on your review I will be getting that soon.

Thanks for your honesty in your review of CG products. I like some of their products, however, there are many other companies that sell just as good or better than them. Overall though, they are a good company

I agree I have about 32 bottles from them in which some are poor and some are good

I have a can of 50/50 that is 95% full. I would love to trade for some Petes 53. P.M. me if you are interested in a trade.

Well, I also have Pete's 53 and 50/50, and like both of them.

Pete's 53 for looks, and 50/50 for protection.

Not that 50/50 looks bad by any means, just that Pete's 53 make's my black metallic ford focus really look wet, and the flake pop like crazy, where 50/50 is less wet looking (but still pretty wet) and more reflective.

For durability 50/50 wins it hands down since for me it lasts at least double as long as pete's 53. (used both on bare paint after a IPA wipedown).

I'd like to ad that XXX-hardcore paste wax that I also have sits perfectly between them in terms of looks and durability despite being their entry level paste wax.

It'll outlast Pete's 53 consistently but not not 50/50 (pretty much down the middle if you'd ask me). Doesn't give a "wet" look, but highly reflective warm glowy kind of shine, Perfect on lighter colors for me since they lack these property's.

As far as application goes it's the hardest consistency of the 3 I have, but goes on the applicator really easy, spreads far and thin, and wipe's off effortlessly (even when apply'd thickly), which is nothing new for me as everything I have from CG does this (and I have quite a bit, just limiting this to the nuba's I have)

Celeste Detaglio and E-ZYME Natura are both on my wishlist, but I'm still wondering if they're worth it...
