IIRC I did the car in the summer, maybe late summer. I bet the answer is a "few" pages back somewhere😋

I have 2 customer's with it applied too, the Yukon and the full size Chevy truck, both I believe I put picture of here. They were done early Nov and around Thanksgiving.

I thought I would give an update on my Enviroshield Experience (can I make that my own acronym?)

It still beads nicely (it was applied around Thanksgiving) and isn't showing any signs of giving up, but I notice it does not release dirt that well.

I live in San Antonio and work near a cement plant that throws dust and dirt in the air and all over the ground. In addition...there is a meat processing place near by. When it rains there is a lovely mix of dust, dirt, water, and some sort of meat by-product that is spread over the roads and all over the vehicles.

The upper portions of the car clean pretty easily...I get some water spotting but figured there's nothing to be done about that, the part that's irritating is that the lower portions of the car are very difficult to remove dirt from, it takes a little elbow grease to get all the dirt off the car. It's always been a no-no to me to put much pressure on the panels when washing the car.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with nasty road-grime not easily washing off, or am I just special because of the lovely part of town that I work in?

Any input would be appreciated.

Maybe two coats on the bottom panels may help to release dirt better.:xyxthumbs:

Did you try pre soaking the lower panels with something like ONR before you do your full wash?? (Put it in a pump sprayer for easy use) Also, you could try pressure washing the lower panels before your full wash--I always PW in the winter to remove the caked on salt and road crap before a wash and it works like a charm.
 
Well it's resistant to acidic and alkaline cleaners, so try using an APC or strong cleaner and let dwell a bit. Wash the car with shampoo and a mixture of APC.

When the car gets dirty as I described a few posts back, I do exactly what you suggest. I have a pump sprayer and I soak with ONR and let it dwell a bit.

Perhaps I could let it dwell for a little longer (making sure it doesn't dry)

I thought about doing this, but I couldn't find where it said it was resistant to strong cleaners...this might be the way I have to go.

The grime in the part of SA that I work in is horrible for an AutoGeek. All of my co-workers have given up on having clean cars.

I should also say I did paint correction before hand also, that is key but to be honest it has it's spots that could use some additional attention now. This car is used and abused, trust me😟

That's in front of my wife's Grandparents house in Chicago. They live very close to Midway airport and the neighborhoods are all like that in the area.

I just applied the coating to my car. My boss is out of town abs have me the keys to the shop. Our light stand makes it so much easier to see defects in my pearl white paint than my garage lighting. I finished around 12:30 am.

I called Duragloss a couple of days ago and a man told me to wait 12 hours before driving so I'll go back up around noon tomorrow.

I'll be going back to college next Fall. I had to take this semester off to fix my back. A coating is ideal for me. I'll be able to do coin-operated washes and touchless washes without degrading my LSP.
 
I'm sitting at about 9 months of durability right now. Nothing but 2bm washes, no spray waxes or anything else. Beading has definitely degraded, but it is still there for sure. It does tend to hang on to contaminants more than other coatings I've used, but stil l better than the average wax/sealant.
