Coated my tires today and WOW,

What are you gonna use to get off the turtle wax? I tried goo gone pro power spray gel even on the stuff and it didn't take it off just cleaned the tire good. I am sure if I tried enough things with a brush attachment on a da I could get it off but goo gone with a towel rubbing didn't.

Are you talking about the spray on one or the wipe on one? The wipe on will come off with tire cleaner. The spray on I had to use a brass brush and a lot of time to get it off.

Klasse Act this one's for you.

Day 1

After (8 weeks).

Thank you. Well I mean you can still see some of it on there after 2 monthes but from what I've read here about this stuff I expected it to look a little better.

If you had to guess, what would happen if you swiped the tire with a cleaner of some kind, would it bring up a little more shine or even it out some?

It sure does sound like he is talking about the spray on one.

There was still some left. Well that might work if you were to just spray and rinse. But you may need to apply another coat just to be sure it has an even coverage.

I did not try this since I ended up removing it. I will say this, Meguiar's D143 had no issues in removing it.

Coated my first tires yesterday with this stuff.

I decided to use small cosmetic latex applicators in an effort to save some product. Not a good idea. The applicator self destructed on the first tire, had to switch to the applicator that came with the kit for the last 2 tires and the second application.

This stuff is really liquid. It's like black water. So I wasted a certain amount of product using it. It coats well. I am not sure how much I used but it seems like very little.

Tires are very very black and shiny. So far I like it. I don't how long I will have this car because I want to sell it ASAP but if it stays like that for a few months I will be very happy with it. If it does last a year then it's pretty great ;)

Wipe in stuff that this thread is talking about, I was gonna strip a tire and the goo gone couldn't take it off mine of my wife's tires. I mean if I took a bunch of goo gone and time maybe but it just cleaned them real well.

Why would you want to strip it off?

I haven't used this or any tire coating yet but I would do one of two things when the coating wears down, one would be clean the tire well and re-apply the tire coating or clean the tire and apply your favorite tire gel over the top of it and see how it goes.

Yeah it is a real thin liquid. Glad to hear you like it.

This is a good idea on reapplication. I'm not sure how well another tire dressing would stick to the tire coating but it's worth a try.

Just to be clear, this is the TW kit that comes with the cleaner, the coating and applicator sponge, right? If so its more than $11.00 at my local Autozone but I will still be trying/using it, soon? Just let me know and no its not the spray stuff but its right next to it though.

Yes that is the one. Here in Montréal it sells for 19,99$ at Canadian Tire.

Thank you, its $15.99 or 16.99 at Autozone. Canadian Tire, used to see those commercials all the time wathing channel 9 in Detroit, is anything you can't get at Canadian Tire!

It's worth more than what it offers you.
The coating is amazing, more and more people we learn about it.
Most of the time all you need is to rinse them off only with water than dry them, I use my leaf blower for that part.

I used this on my brand new Michelin AS3s and it looks great. It has been rained on all week and is still shiny as day one. I love the fact that it is dry to touch too!

Prep work was pretty easy. The look and longevity seem to be worth the slight effort.

Plenty! But they usually carry a large inventory of many things for cars, home use or sports.

I would much rather have a Harbour freight here though ;)

If it hasn't been said yet... Be sure to tape off your wheels by the tire because it will stain them and dries fast so also have a clean towel handy but be fast with anything you accidentally get this on.

I keep a little APC with me, that way I can remove it quick.
But you right, if you don't remove it in time it can be tough to remove.

I'm going on 2 weeks now, rain, 3 car washes and daily driving, gravel road driving and my tires still look great! This product is fantastic! Make sure you follow the directions and spray the bottle upside down before storage, my bottle is over half full and the spray cap is plugged. (My only gripe, and it's my own fault, lol)

A little tire cleaner that comes with it will take it right off the wheel.
