Interior Car Detailing with Tornador

I'd say this replaces a steamer :)

I consider the Tornador and steamer two different things. The Tornador is great for dusty vents, average dirt and grime, or areas sensitive to heat.

The Tornador is no match for my VX5000 when it comes to stains in the carpet, seats, disinfecting surfaces, salt in the mats, etc.

The steamer can do what the Tornador can, but it takes 20 min to fill and heat the VX5000. The Tornador is pick up and go. Super quick. And the cleaning solution lasts a good long while. I also love that you can switch off the solution to blow just air.

Sometimes though, steam has no equal dealing with the tough stuff. Don't think you've replaced a steamer by buying a Tornador. I use them both, often.

:iagree:

I've read the following analogy and totally agree: " The Tornador is like a chainsaw and the steamer is like a scalpel" Tornador will easily take on a variety of jobs and will cut through all of it indiscriminately whereas the steamer has a little more finesse (although still has effective). To get deep in the carpet pile though I would use the Tornador (for which my compressor is set at 90-100psi). I believe the steamer is in the 50-60psi, so not exactly the same driving power. Tornador (as described) can be used with just air to chase the liquid, whereas the steamer always pumps moisture in the are. The heat from the steamer will help kill certain pathogens and odor causing bacterias, whereas the tornador will depend on the chemicals it injects.

When in doubt get both :)
