Overcome your fear of machine polishing - Cars & Coffee Class #1

At each Cars & Coffee there will be a short detailing class sharing tips and techniques on the topic of car detailing. The classes will start at approximately 8:15 and run till about 8:45, so they are short but filled with tips you can use instantly.

By the volume of phone calls, PM's, forum posts and e-mail I get plus talking to local car guys, I know there are a lot of people that do all their polishing and waxing by hand.

One of the reasons so many people still do all their work by hand is due to a fear of making a mistake when working by machine.

There are plenty of horror stories describing topics like,

  • Burning through an edge.
  • Burning through the clearcoat.
  • Instilling swirls and holograms into the paint.

These are the most common fears associated with learning to use a machine but these are issues mostly associated with three things,

  • Lack of knowledge on how to properly use a machine.
  • Lack of knowledge on how to choose the right pad and products.
  • Rotary Buffers - Or as some guys call it... a wheel.

The good news is were no longer stuck with JUST rotary buffers and in fact their are a number of tools available today called Dual Action Orbital Polishers that are completely safe even for someone brand new to machine polishing.

So at this first class I will share with you all the different types of modern buffers and polishers and then demonstrate the tools that are both safe and easy to use.

These modern safe tools will enable you to maintain your car's finish faster than working by hand with much better results compared to working by hand.

Hope to see you in my class!

It's real easy to learn how to use... I promise you...

:)

Over the last two decades I have taught literally thousands of people in person how to use the Porter Cable dual action polisher. Through my articles, videos and TV I have shown tens of thousands of people how to use the Porter Cable.

Here are three people ranging in age that I have taught to use a Porter Cable here at Autogeek, take my word for it... if these people can do it... so can you!

Tyler - Age 15
