Do they breath at all? My feet tend to get hot

Thanks for the tip. They do look comfy

:)

No, they really don't breath all that much, but I have never noticed any problem with them feeling hot. I pretty much wear them year around for yard work, kennel maintenance, and car washing (not a pro detailer, just personal vehicles). The only time I go to boots is when it snows. They have held up much better than all of the others I have tried.

These are the ones that I have. The only difference is where these are neon yellow, mine are red. I got them at Academy Sports for $19.99. They have holes in the back and smaller holes between the toes, so they drain really well. I wear them when doing all sorts of stuff outside because the soles are built like tennis shoes. When I am done with them for the day, I just spray them out with the hose, and sit them outside to dry.

I use rubber mud boots with insoles to make them more comfortable. I switch back to tennis shoes after the washing step.

I almost overlooked your response. What a mistake that would've been. Check out this selection!

I was just about to quote your reply before this one and say watchotalkinboutwillis :) water shoes look pretty cool to me...

But then I saw this post :D the good thing about water shoes is you can wear the anywhere water related and look cool and also not even know they are there while you are in and out of the water while being protected. I've pulled many a drowning passenger out of the water with these on while having to run over sharp rocks. Makes washing the car comfortable and safe too.

New Balance sells water proof tennis shoes. They are just not cheap.

303 Fabric Guard applied to tennis shoes?

Wearing tennis shoes is a no go for me. I end up getting soaking wet. Especialy when cleaning trucks/suburbans

Willis?!?!?

I don't wear shoes to detail

This will be my first year w/out going barefoot. Last year while cleaning a tire/rim I put to much weight on the ball of my right foot. My body told me if I continued this method expect problems

I've always just worn regular sneakers, and I've never had a problem that way

Best shoes I have found for when there is a high probability they will get wet or for use as boat shoes or for river hikes is Teva's.

The soles are very durable and they are made for the water so you can rest assured that any of the ones they make will suit your needs and they will last a very long time.

While not cheap, Red Wing Shoes. The best shoe you'll buy 'for life'.

I've got a pair of "Loggers" that I've had for over 25 years. Still keep my feet comfortable no matter the season. (Although I don't use them for detailing, but tend not to get my feet wet either.) ;)
