Felt in the wheel wells of the Denali trucks??

Anyone cleaned the "felt" or carpet in the wheel wells of the new GMC Denali pickups yet?

Did a 2015 Friday

Best thing to do is pressure wash the wheel wells. After it dries you may need to vacuum or pick out any remaining debri
 
Is that new to the 2015 models?

Some people love it.

Can't imagine it produces a significant reduction in road noise in a pick-up

I do know it saves me a load of money not having to dress the fenderwells

Every VW I have owned has it as well. Pressure wash or agitate with a medium brush. Sometimes a terry towel or vacuum is necessary. Nice touch, but terrible to clean.
 
its new from 2014, my current truck has them as well. i use the pet attachment from my dyson to clean them.

Yeah, this is a 2015. I live in MN so the salt build up should be interesting....
 
Theyre in a lot of vehicles these days. Mini's, vettes, etc. Im fairly certain its there to reduce road noise. As above, clean the wheel and then pick out anything left.

The acoustics of it make sense. The shape of the vehicle is irrelevant as its actually only acting the wheel well itself no matter the vehicle. Obviously huge knobby tires don't help, but it wouldn't be there if it didn't work.

Just went through this on a Jeep Grand Cherokee, at first I scrubbed them and realized I was wasting my time. Pressure washer with a white tip and spray and spray and spray till the mud runs clean.
 
My wife's new Avalon also has felt lines wheel wells. I believe they quite the ride quite a bit from sand and debris whirling around in the wells. Pretty easy to rinse clean as well.
