Worst month

This is my worst month yet. Last month I hit 1500.00 easily while this month I've made around 100.00.
Im trying to remain calm and not abandon ship because I love detailing.
This mixed weather is screwing me big time.
I even considered moving into a bigger city that the people appreciate detailers.

Don't worry dude. Take this time to think of ways to make money when business is down. Go to dealerships for some business during this down time. Or another thing you can do is call up your city and say you will do graffiti removal. One good thing is rain will make a clean car look bad so business should pick up soon.

you cant expect to make the same amount of money every month without pushing business everyday

read up on marketing/advertising.. and its not on this forum
 
Time to do some market research. Look up my thread on starting a mobile detailing business - the next step.

People have to realize that thinking like a business owner is often more important than thinking like a detailer.

April and May are always slow times for me too. I've never figured out why. Bigger cities definitely have a larger customer base, but make sure that the bigger city you are considering also has money. Bigger isn't better if everyone there is dead broke!

I think a lot of this coincides with the onset of pollen in the south. People just don't want to spend now when by the time they get home, the car is covered.
The Supra I did this past weekend was covered when I drove it to the show.

I am fighting heavy pollen as we speak. I think it actually ads a little extra cut

My slow months are January (dead of Winter) and July (everyones on vacation)
