Hey all, I finally had time to give my vehicle a good polish, it is about 6 months overdue. Also, it was my excuse for doing it because I submitted my vehicle to my company's annual car show. Paint overall wasn't in bad condition, the only area that was kind of bad was the hood/fenders, hood was worse. They were induced when I got my clear bra installed about a year ago and the installer used bad MF towels to wipe dry my hood/fenders.

Total time: 15 hours

Hardware:
Rupes 15
PC7424XP w/ 3" backing plate

Process/Products:
Wash:

  • Paint: DG901 w/ APC+ mix | CarPro Merino Wool Wash Mitt
  • Wheels: Pinnacle Adv. Wheel Cleaner 3:1 | Mother's brushes
  • Tires: APC+ 4:1 | Tuff Shine Tire Brush
Decon:

  • Iron-X
  • Nanoskit Wash Mitt Fine Grade
Polish:

  • Rupes 15 w/ LC White Pad and Menzerna 4000
  • PC7424XP w/ 3" BP w/ LC White Pad and Menzerna 4000
Finish:

  • CQuartz: Paint, clear bra, and vinyl decals
  • DLux: All plastic trim
  • Tires dressed with AMMO Mud
  • Wheels already coated with OC 2.0
  • Windows previously treated with Opti-Glass
I didn't take any pictures before the wash, wasn't bad since it is driven about once or twice a week. Here are pictures after the wash/decon.

Before:
Kind of hard to see the light swirls on yellow. This was on the hood.

This is pretty much the rest of the paint.

I kind of wish I had a better camera to really capture how it looks in person, unfortunately my iPhone is the best I got.

Thanks for looking.
Any feedback and comments are appreciated!

Nice work, your Super Bee is poppin!

Great job. I wish you were closer, you could do my 07 Superbee. Mine looks OK, but it's show season now, and it needs a good going over.

Looks good. I'd like to see some closeups of your clear bra edges if you get a chance. I'm thinking of replacing mine, as it's a few years old - and I'd like to see what your edges look like. Mine seem to be slightly lifting in various places and look "white" - almost like wax is under there - but I don't believe it is.

Haha, thanks, where are you at if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you! Here are some pictures of my clear bra.
Note that the black line you see isn't dirt/dirty. It is just the small shadow that is cast from the outside light.
