Thought this might be fun and maybe make me feel better
after leaving my brand new 32oz bottle of Pinnacle Glass
Cleaner in the bed of my truck after I washed the back window.

Drove to my brothers place yesterday for Easter and happened
to look in the pickup bed when I was leaving and there it was...

my 32oz Pinnacle bottle with the sprayer OFF (must have worked
it's way loose and then off rolling around in the bed) lying
there empty! It came as part of my Pinnacle Clear Glass kit. :awman:

Checked the price for this bottle only and it was $23!!!

How bout it everyone, what's the worst and most costliest
spill you ever had?

Greg

Good topic. Guess i have been lucky. A few tip overs in the driveway, but caught them quick.

Broken bottle of wolf's hard body coating brand new 55 dollar spill. I spill onr like crazy but it costs next to nothing so I don't really mind

I have a habit of driving over products. Nothings ever been to costly, but the bottle of 105 sure made a mess!

I drove over a piece of Riccardo claybar @ a customers 5+ years ago and it's still there. I see it every time I'm over there

I knocked over a gallon of citrus wash and gloss that I had only used 2 oz out of. But on the plus side the garage floor is really clean and smells good now.

A few ounces of diluted All Clean+ Cost about a few cents.

Handed my friend a brand new bottle of Ultima Interior Cleanser and Jetseal. He managed to drop both of them and crack the tops off. Luckily the Jetseal was thick so only a little leaked out but the Ultima was only left 1/4 full.

You guys are really making me feel better, thanks! :dblthumb2:

Glad to know I'm not the only one

Have a great week everyone!

Greg

My worst spill is from V7. I spilled some on the kitchen floor when I was transferring it to a spray bottle. Wiped it up, no problem. The problem is when I forgot and hit that slick as ice spot later in the day wearing just socks and found myself looking at the glossy floor up close. Cost me my pride because my wife saw it all.

Does a old school flip phone count, back in the good old days I layed it in the step of the step side pick up, I found it in many pieces.:buffing:

I've dropped clay before. Half a bar, $11. Another time I spilled carpet spot remover while transferring it to a smaller bottle. I spilled it on a carpet, though.:)

It's not a spill but I unintentionally left a few products in my shed over the winter and today discovered they were junk....this really hit home because of their cost...

Menzerna Power Lock Sealant (32oz) - $49.00

Optimum Poli-Seal (32oz) - $19.99

BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Paint Protection (16oz) - $39.99

Prima Amigo Pre-Wax Cleanser (16oz) - $18.99

Dumb, Dumb, Dumb......

How can you tell they are "junk"

Wondering b/c I was at the Chemical Guys Store this weekend and they were closing out a lot of old product.

Gallons of Jet Seal that were missing the label for $20, Regularly $278. They were separated, but came back together when shaken vigorously.

Try as I may, I could not get these to re-blend.

I shook them, removed half the product and really shook them. I even tried placing the bottle in nearly boiling water bringing the temp up to 150 or so degrees, more shaking....no deal....

That's a great deal for jet seal, I have a couple of 16 oz bottles that are a few years old they seem fine to me.:buffing:

Nothing to do with detailing chemicals but back when (around 1998) i use to work for a baking factory.

It was my first couple weeks of being a green horn and I had just finished my training on the electric double jack machine. The one that you see people in some home depots standing on with two pallets on it.

Well, I misjudged the brakes the first day on it by myself. The machine was heading towards a couple of barrels of peanut oil. Needless to say I jumped off just in time to save me but one barrel opened up and oil went everywhere. It soaked the entire platform!! By the time I went to get help to clean it up two employees got stuck on their machines.

I didn't get charged for the barrel and I still kept my job but if i remember correctly they told me that barrel alone was a few hundred dollars. Back then that freaked me out big time for that cash!

Spilled a full mixed bottle of permanon glass one time. Fortunately it wasn't full strength but still a sad day. :(

LOL! Hence the "Loser" username? :)

My worst spill was Mr. Pink 16oz on the garage floor, i learned to close my products after that incident.
