Hey u guys, I just wanted to talk about Las Vegas and how may people are out to do car washes or detailing here. I like to drive my city and look for deals on products or just shop around. While I drive around I always notice people waiting in parking lots washing cars or looking to wash cars. I always stop and ask or look at what they got going on. I like their dedication but they are saturating the streets with hack car wash detail work. But for $20 in n out what do people want? I think to myself that it looks tacky and who Is stopping. But I see tons of cars there all the time. lol still I would rather wait 3days and do one monster real deal detail for $1000 than work hard for peanuts. So as I drove home today I noticed at least 20 other car wash guys sitting in back parking lots. I thought to myself, these guys sit out here in the weather all day waiting, hoping something comes in. Then when I came home I wanted to look on Craigslist to see how many people are advertising on there. OMG,..really, there is hundreds of detailing adds on there. Wow, how confusing for a person to pick. So, for me the best way to advertise is a killer website that keeps you on top of the search engines. These cost money but its the realistic way good customers will call u. This is just my little rant for the day as I opened my eyes to how many hacks are out there. Now, I would love to open my own shop but my business model doesn't make sense to me or I probably don't know how to make a good model. I seem so hard to pay rent or just a major waste of money but I would love to have a shop to detail in. A shop that is on a major street. This way I can foam it up heavily in public and create some show for traffic. But I cant wrap my mind around paying for a shop. Can u guys tell me about ur shops and what to look for when looking for one. How to look, area to look in, price or any pointers u can give about getting ur own shop. I have a fulltime job that ends at noon time. I can work the rest of the day at the shop and my days off until I get enough business to sustain my shop and get out of my day job. I have this crazy passion to work on cars. My whole life, horsepower and paint. I cant have enough of them. Thanks for listening.
