Quick Wax Question.

I recently switched over from using "quick detailer" to "quick wax" for maintenance.

Now there may be better ones available; but I happen to try the Mequiars Ultimate and I was amazed on how nice it looked and how easy it was to apply, basically identical and as simple as using a "quick detailer".

My question is generic to any "quick wax" which is: if used on a regular basis (say once a week) will there be any build up or any other concern that I should be worried about whereas this is NOT a concern when using "quick detailer" products?

Thank you,
Ralph

You are fine with using the Quick Wax, something is better than nothing!

You can apply it after washing, and drying your car.

IMO you can't build up anything, except maybe in a crack or crevice or emblem or some such. Where you are buffing it in/off with a towel, no need to worry.

No problem using a quick wax often, although may not really be necessary to use it that often. Keep in mind that many quick waxes are not to be used as a drying aid, while others can. Quick Detailers can be used as a drying aid.

Megs Ultimate Quick Wax is a good product. I like XMT Spray Wax as its often a better value.

I have a question and hope someone will email me the answer
I had a 2008 Impala and used the Klasse polish (AIO) and finish product(Klasse Sealent Glase) and have had great results Now I have a new Ford Taurus and want to know if I have to use the polish on new car or can I just use the Klasse Sealent Glaze on the new Ford? My email address is

Depends on how bad the paint is. I would highly recomend you clay, polish, and then seal it, bear minimum. Then you know what your working with anyway.

Back to the OP, i'd be surprised if you can get any substantial build up from weekly app's of a quick spray wax but, having offered that, will yield to the pro's here. Depending on your climate and vehicle use/conditions, to me, carnaubas are extremely perishable especially in spray wax form.

And if you are on here you might be machine buffing at some point or claying or iron x or whatever that will remove any buildup you get anyway so i wouldn't worry about it too much. Use what you like because you like the results you see and i wouldn't be too concerned about buildup. Again, i don't think you'll get much if any to be worried about.

Good question though.
