I was playing around with the codes.

Looks like you have to enter the direct link of the video as a URL embed.

Any other way to share won't work. If the link has a "featured" or "video" it won't work either. IDK.

But I watched the video like 10 times. I think I'm going to pick this up as a backup even though I already have the TA50.

Please let me know how they compare. I'm almost sure the TA50 will have the edge. I'm just worried about the durability of the HF model. If I can get a year out of it, I'll be happy.

Also, what have you been doing for pads on the TA50?

No problem.

I ordered the Mirka pads from Kevin Brown. I will let you know once I get more seat time with it.
 
I may just have to bite the bullet and get the Mirka pads. I bet somebody will develop pads for these little machines in the near future. I'm probably heading out to SEMA. Maybe something will showcase there.
 
I recall seeing Lake Country 2" pads. I forgot where though.

I have not seen a 2" LC pad anywhere on this website or the LC website.

Just teasing.


I believe the key variable with these two inch pads will be that they are thin enough to transmit the energy without absorbing too much of it in the pad causing overheating and pad/backing plate failure.

I have not found much that I cannot get to with my PC and a 3" Meguiar's MF pad using a backing plate extension.

Regarding the tool, I'd like to dedicate it to sanding/polishing license plate areas, under door handles, front bumper areas, foglights, vents, etc.

That Picture must be from Outer Space or is Classified.

None of my image search tools were able to locate it!
 
I'm reading the reviews on the HF website and they are all saying the HF backing plates don't fit it and they can't find replacement backing plates?

The 2" bp is nowhere to be found online for some reason. When I was at the store, they had them in stock. It looked the exact same as the one on the machine. It would be completely stupid if it had a different size spindle as there really aren't any other machines out there designed for 2". It just wouldn't make sense, but that would be typical HF.

I should have grabbed an extra and checked. I'll grab one tomorrow possibly.

Honestly, I'll cut down my own from a Mirka BP or something from Kevin Brown if HF doesn't have anything. I may have to message Richard Lin or Kevin Brown. I'm sure both could help. I've seen Richard using a TA50 or maybe it was an LD30, with a 1" BP. I know he must have cut that himself.

I don't get worried about what people are saying on the HF website.
I've got the tool in my hand and it works for me. Heck, at the very least, for $25, it showed me what I had been missing in my arsenal. I can not live without a 2" polisher now. If this things proves to not be very durable I'll go with the TA50.

So far, I'm loving it.

Like I said, now that I have a 2" DA in my arsenal, I have no idea how I lived without it. It proved indispensable on these engine vents. Before, you had to angle a 3" or larger pad in there or do it by hand. . .that just seems ignorant now.

Also, please ignore my crappy tape. Accidentally ran out of my green tape lol.

interesting, I may have to check this out

some quick advice on the video may want to post a before and after shot at the end as apposed to just the after shot, it gives it a lot much better look at the transformation
