Hello gents, this is my first real attempt at detailing and I think it went pretty decent. I wanted to thank the forums members for helping me out and Mike Phillips for his awesome videos and explanations! Took me an entire day from dusk till dawn. My only regret is I wish I had time to get a bit more gloss out of it with a finishing polish, but overall I'm satisfied with the results.

Porter Cable XP
Menzerna FG400 (Test spot WGTSR, FG400 finished the same but with a higher gloss so I went with that)
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant
Lake Country 5.5 Flat Pad White
Lake Country 4 CCS Pad White
BLACKFIRE Total Eclipse Tire Gel
Wolfgang Auto Bathe/Chemical Guys Mr. Pink Shampoo
Detailers Pride Rinseless Wash (Clay Lube)
Ricardo Yellow Clay Bar

That is beautiful! My Dads Harley is almost the same color and was trying to figure what products to use for it. After seeing this I may just have to copy your regimen.

Thanks everyone!

It's a nice color, make sure he finishes with something a bit finer for that extra shine.

Nice job on that cool colour! Where in Ontario are you?

Ive heard a lot about fg400 with a DA and light cut pad…how do you like that combo? How bad was the paint before? Looks great!

Thank you! St. Catharines, near that new outlet mall that opened up. It's been so damn crazy up here that there have been a dozen police officers directing traffic for about a week, all day!

I love it, it's the only combo I'm going to use now on my cars and friends + family. 9 out of 10 people will be satisfied with its finish, the only thing it lacks is that super duper mirror like shine but it comes very close. So if you're that one person, I would do another quick round with SF4500 or Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish/Wolfgang Glaze on a White. The paint was in very good shape, very fine swirls, slight micro maring from the clay bar on some sections but overall good paint condition. I did my Elantra as a test, used orange and white to achieve excellent results. The Elantra being black and only a year and a half old was in terrible condition since the other owner doesn't know how to wash it and actually used laundry soap a few times. "If it's safe on clothes it has to be safe on paint" no lady, one bucket, dirty sponge, laundry soap. Anyways I managed to get about 95% correction on my first attempt and managed to learn a lot. Next year I'll make sure to lock in 99.9% correction.
