So I am already making a game plan for my Taurus (Tuxedo Black) when I get to the US in July. The car has been sitting for a year under cover, my dad has driven it once a month to make sure everything is ok. He did run it through the Scratch and Wash twice.

I am planing a thorough detail-

Can I get similar product here that will perform as well or better and either match or beat this price?

I will be getting the foam cannon, snow foam, and sonax plus fom AG.

** MF towels, mitts, applicators, and brushes not needed in order**

Your process and everything looks great though when you apply your Lsp's its best to seal, wax and glaze and you dont really have to rewash the vehicle as for products look into mezerna line as for buckets and gamma lids at home depot as for other products look around and get prices and figure out what you really need and leave out the unnecessary

Thanks I will check them out. I am not so concerned with accessories, mainly looking at chemicals. I have all the accessories except for needing the new pads as the ones I have are destroyed thanks to my brother.

The only reason needing new product is I just found out today my supplies of Megs/Mothers was left out side in the shed through the extreme cold in Maryland and now the heat. I could replace with them but want to try some new products.

Ochie sorry to hear about your product lost though the same thing happen to me thats how I really gotten into detailing

Yeah I never felt the pinch of buying all at once. The collection has built over 13 years and would add a few things here and there, replace as needed. However I see it as a fresh start to try a lot of new things.

I'd say there's some "extra" products on there you don't need.
Id go with
CG citrus wash red
Meguiars hyperdressing (tires, wheel wells, interior dress)
Meguiars ultimate compound and polish
Sonax like you want
CG All clean+ APC
Duragloss 901 soap
Duragloss Aquawax
Pinnacle Souvern paste or liquid

If I forgot something I'm sorry. That's about $130

I have only used cwg and the clay block from chemical guys. With that said I would lose the rim sealant and any other exterior trim dressings and get ultima tire and trim or wolfgang exterior trim sealant instead.

I would also get the nanoskin fine grade sponge rather than the chemical guys clay block. The clay block is very aggressive.

I didn't scrutinize your process but imho sonax is overpriced. Ironx would be better and more versatile.

Thanks for the help. I am still deciding on either Sonax Plus or TRIX. The Block I think will need as I did a lot of driving when I bought the car (55k in a year)and it was a rental before that and prob has never been clayed.

No problem. Does the sonax plus remove tar as well? If not I would go with trix. That makes sense but there is an aggressive nanoskin sponge as well. Just something to consider.

If you are going thru Chemical Guys direct:
See if you can get All Clean+ instead of the Green Clean, it's more powerful with a high dilution rate. And try to sub in the Grey Matter Waffle Weave as your drying towel--I really like mine.

If you are going thru AG
Replace the Miracle Dryer with a Cobra Guzzler HD

Not sure if Sonax gets the tar. I am using the block to test and see if I want to stick with clay or go with "the latest and greatest". If I like it I will get the nanoskin.

The clay block isn't very new it was one of the first generations of clay alternatives and I don't think it has been updated since. Also the nanoskin sponge is cheaper so it makes more sense to get if you are only looking to test the product.

You sir are correct, I was thinking the wash mitt, was not aware of the sponge that will be updated!

**For that price Ill just get the fine/med combo!**

Are you asking only stephent? It seems like you are ignoring what myself and others have suggested for you? Seems rather strange to me. IDK

Honestly, I would scratch the whole list besides the grit guard, Sonax, CW+G, maybe Pete's 53, and the nanoskin's that you were just told about. I would go with something like this:
Autogeek.net

Just to clarify:
Cquartz for wheels since you are taking them off might as well apply something that will last.
Eraser for wipedown after polishing
IronX for wheel cleaning and car decon
I think everything else is self explanatory.
That's $340 with 10 percent off I don't know what you already have covered out of that list. So it may need some adjusting but I also didn't put on any pads, applicators, or brushes as I do not know what you already have. And you'll probably want to throw in some ONR or UWW+ for their ultimate versatility.

I apologize I had a reply submitted for your post, but it did not seem to go. I had said that you had a very impressive list and very budget friendly and wanted to know how the hyperdress was on the interior if it was oily or collected dust. I am in Trinidad and our net is picked up by satellite and when the wind picks up there are connectivity issues.

Thanks, it is a little over budget, but I need pads. Buckets, MF towels and clothes, wash mitts, and brushes I already have. With just products it may fall into that range!

Would the Cquartz work on the plastic B-pillars?

Yea I was just going to ask to list out what you have. What polisher and backing plate?
