If you have Cinemax, Banshee is awesome. Also is the Strikeback series on Cinemax. I keep my subscription to that channel just for those two.
I was considering dumping a couple of premium channels on my account since my damn Cox cable bill is $280 per month but I can't part with Showtime for boxing, Cinemax for the above shows, and HBO for movies. The way Cox bundles those things, with internet and phone, and a couple of "whole house" digital cable boxes guarantees a brutal monthly bill. No wonder everyone seems to hate their cable company...
Oh I LOVE Strike Back! Michael Stonebridge and Damian Scott two serious BAD AZZZES!

rops: It's not had anything new since the 2013 season 3 stuff. Says it's coming 12/31/2015 for season 4. Talk about a hiatus!
Doggone it... I forgot about Banshee. :dunno:
I hear ya' Ryan on the TV bill, oh BOY do I hear ya'!
I've been DirecTV since about 15 months since they went live in the Atlanta market. That's 20 years or so. (
Used to even install dishes for myself, friends, and clients although not directly for DTV.) I have 3 DVR's, one 5-tuner, two 2-tuner for a total of 9 tuners to record on at once. Plus I've got an extra DVR that isn't in the data stream that has archived concerts and stuff on it. ANNNNNDDDD... I've got a handy external drive should I need it.

Add to the DVR's one client unit and two more receivers and our bill comes in at over $220 and that doesn't include phone or internet.
My wife comes up at least once a year wanting to try and trim the bill down, but (as you know) the 'packages' are setup to where you can't get HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz etc. ala carte, you always have to 'bundle' them with a hundred channels you DON'T want.
The only item we don't have from DirecTV now is the GenieGo device that'll allow you to download all of your recorded programs on ANY mobile device (with the app) and watch them. It'll even stream to your device(s) as soon as the program(s) start to record.
The cool part is you can put your programs on your device(s) and watch them without an internet connection at a later time. (
Say when you're in the car or on a plane.) Last I asked they wanted $99 for it, but they told me to call March/April and I should be able to get a (another) free upgrade. Last upgrade was the Genie, a 4-in 16-out multiswitch, with the whole home interface, a new LNB on my dish, AND free installation. That was easily $700 worth of upgrades for free. (
Like it's friggin' free when I'm paying $220 a month!)
