I get all my carpet chems from Cobb carpet. In most situations I prespray with their powermax prespray. Has oxidizers, citrus and other various surfactants. PH of 10. If there are a lot of yellow or tannin stains I'll boost it with a dedicated oxidizer like their powder brightener. If its god red stains I use a reducer and a steamer.

thanks for the info. Do you know if those chemicals are ok to use with a myttee extractor? I usally pre treat and scrub then extract with hot water. As for compounds you need to try wolfgang uber compound or menzerna fg400

Perfectly fine. Keep doing what your doing. The only time I run anything in the tank is if I've just nuked the crap out of a carpet with something like a 12 or 13 pH. In that case I'll add acetic acid to the rinse to bring the pH down and prevent browning.

If I was doing this for a business I can think of a few products I could not be without UWW+ or ONR (for their affordability and multi use), PERL again same as previous maybe not quite as affordable as some Meg's stuff but the results speak for it, and HydrO2 (for its super ease of application, talk about time saving..).

Going to have to look into hydr02. Sounds like it's revolutionary. ONR and ww+ are both in my cart.

You didn't go by another name over on another forum, did you? Grouse or something with a G? I used to spend a lot of time on another forum and there was a carpet expert there.
