this was the project for today. car is a DD and had not been cared for properly. the car was always taken to the swirlomatic car cash twice a month. customer was driving by when he saw me working on my friends brand new Lexus IS 250. he showed up when i 1st started on the car. i told him to come back after i finished it. he booked his car right on the spot as soon as he saw my friends car all done.

Steps and products used:

1st the wheels, Sonax Full Effect, Daytona brushes, and GTechniq G-wash, wash bucket and various other brushes for the tires and wheels wells.

Wheels after they were all clean

Next was the Iron-X to the entire car. it was in pretty bad shape as you will see.

after the Iron-X we hit it with the foam cannon with some CG mr pink.

After the Foam Cannon, i used the fine grit Nanoskin, 2-bucket wash with Gtechniq G-Wash.

Pulled the car into the garage.

Did my test spots and found that the WGFG with white pads was going to do the trick.

Flex 3401, white pads, WGFG
Flex 3401, gray pads, WGDGPS, x2
GTechniq Trim and Tire Gel

No picture of the during, i was in a time crunch to get it done. here are the after shots

She is all done, the customer was extremely happy with the outcome, that he has signed up for my monthly maintenance package. he said he would never take it through another car wash again.

Thanks for reading and any feedback would be great.

Marvelous work you made that Lexus look brand new again

Looks like a new car again!!

How much of the IronX product did you use to cover the whole car? Half the bottle?
Also, if you IronX the vehicle, is there need for claying?

I picked up IronX recently and due to high cost I only use it on the wheels, fenders and rocker panel maybe because I see those as being most contaminated areas.

Great work! It's nice when people actually realize the error of their ways and the damage that it causes to their vehicle!

i buy it by the 1 liter bottles, so about a 1/4 of that just for the car.

yes there is still a need to clay after Iron-X. Iron-X is getting rid of any iron deposits on the car. there are still other contaminants on the car that cannot be seen, but can be felt. for this you would do the baggie test.

the front of this car wasn't as bad as the rear as you can see in the pictures. that is why i do the entire vehicle. i don't want to introduce anymore work into my routine that i don't have to.
