Lol so im going to be moving soon and one thing i need, since my ex got ALLLLLLL the furniture in our divorce even though she lives with her mom..., is a couch. I picked up a surprisingly nice 3 piece sectional couch in the free section on craiglist today. Problem was one section of the couch was covered in stains from a 2 year old and a 4 year old. The couch is beige suede also. Thought to my self no problem and picked it up.
I get home set it up and get to work. I sprayed the two cushions and back rest with folex and scrubbed with a med soft brush. Most of the stains were coming out but for the really hard ones i sprayed with some megs APC. Then i took my bissle spot clean pro and went to town on that one section. It cleaned up very nice and looks brand new again.
HERE'S THE PROBLEM. I let it dry with some fans on it and i just went to check on it and the area i cleaned is super stiff now. Almost crunchy stiff. My gf is p!ssed and thinks im an idiot who ruined it even more ( i also ripped a cushion loading it in my truck lol.) Is there anything i can use to soften it back up? I was thinking mixing some laundry fabric softener and water in a spray bottle and spraying it down? I dont think its real suede btw. It doesn't really feel like it. Its a very short fabric similar to suede though.
Any ideas so im not in the dog house with my girl on this one? lol. Bad enough i ripped the good section but now i messed up the other section lol. Any idea at all will be welcome. It was free so im not to worried but i have to admit it was in amazing condition for being free.
