It's one of the most neglected paints I have seen.
It felt almost like someone was washing it with sand...
well, it maybe true, because car was from north.
Most likely seen salt and sand.
When washing the car, sponge was actually sticking to a paint. It was so bad...

Anyways,
Products
Xtreme Foam with Pinnacle Foam Gun.
Nanoskin wash mitt.
Good ol' Menzerna 400 with microfiber.
Followed by Menzerna 2500 and orange flat pad.
Gtechniq panel wipe.
Gtechniq exo v2

Thanks for watching.
Antti

Wow, great turn-around :dblthumb2:

Just love a black car that shines.

Nice turn-around Antti! :dblthumb2:

Just a few questions if you don't mind:

1) I assume you used your Flex 3401?

2) What kind of MF pads did you use?

3) Great shot of the wheels being cleaned, what did you use as your wheel & tire cleaner?

Did a great job on that Bimmer mate !

Must ve taken lots of time to do considering the condition !

WOW, speechless. Looks brand new.

Beautiful work, wise choice of products, perfect mate. Congratulations.

Best Wishes.

Aaannddd when you walked in to the car your shoes filled the inside with sand..

Looking good! I did a g37 not too long ago where the clay situation was about the same.

Thanks guys.

Yes I did

I always hate seeing you guy's photos showing an ocean or sand. I could post a picture of a pine tree and make you all jealous..

:)

Good work!

Tought it would ve taken more time considering the conditions ! lol , Great fast job .

awesome work buddy! very nice pictures and the results are breathtaking. i noticed you said you want to go with mf polishing pads. i personally have megs mf polishing pads and rarely use them. i like foam pads to polish, mf to cut.. but to each its own. again, great work!

Wow! it came out great.

That is the same car as mine (exact same color too) is just a different engine. My car is just as bad as that one is now. My plan is Rupes 21 with Meg's MF pad, M101 mixed with D300 for cut and Menz 4000 for polish. I'm pretty sure I'm going to do a coating after but I have an unused tube of Opti-coat and a bottle of Pinnacle black label.

I have a week off of work to do the correction at the end of this month.

How many hours did that take you so I know what to look forward to?

You're right... looks like someone washed the car with sand!

Very nice work Antti... I hate to be the guy that always harps on using Photobucket for a gallery but unless you pay for a Pro Hosting account forever, that is for the rest of your life, all your pictures documenting all your hard work will sooner or later disappear.

Next time you're here for a Thursday night project if you want, I'll show you how to use the free AGO gallery.

Nice job!

Thank You Josue
I just want to test them out.
This paint was so hard...
Next time I will cut with rotary to speed things up ;)

I think Rupes will speed up the process...haven't used meq101...I have meq100, didn't like to use it, and I was not getting results I wanted when I used it on my own car.

Plan for one very very long day, depends how fast your combo cuts thru. Next time I would start with rotary to get going.

Thank You Mike, and thanks for advice on that car.

I went thru your threads how to upload and resize the pictures, I need to try out this Easy Thumbnails you are using.

I figured out how to upload here, my frustration was that I have to do it one by one. That's all.
