I did an application of CQuartz on an old 5 spoke wheel after machine polish and Eraser. After a day I applied Griots Sealant, Meguiars Ultimate wax, Wolfgang Deep Gloss, and Chemical Guys V7 Hybrid Sealant on 4 of the 5 spokes for testing.

CQUARTZ is really not slippery compared to waxes and sealants and I just wanted to see if anything would "stick" to the coating. After I wiped off 4 different sealants from the spokes, I found out that the Wolfgang was the most slick, where Meguairs was the least. It might have meant that the Meguiars didn't really stick to the coating....

Surprisingly the CG V7 was able to produce good slickness on the coating.

I happened to have Eagle One spray nano wax around and applied that to the 5th wheel spoke and it did nothing to the coating.

What I needed to do is to test how long the sealants would last on the coating. Going to wash the wheel and clean it with Eraser and see if the coating is still slick.

I know it's the best to use Reload but before I get some, it would be interesting to know other alternatives.

Slickness has nothing to do with protection, water sheeting, or dust repelling ability. Its all mental and perception.

Sonax Polymer Net Shield is what I'll be trying next on my UKd chrome wheels. I'm afraid I'll get streaking if i try Reload...

You're going to do, what you want to do.
But out of curiosity:

Which LSP's "characteristics" are you really wanting...
the Coating's or some Sealant's (this includes Reload)?

It is universally agreed that the coatings provide far better protection against the environment than the sealants to, and I am not looking for more protection on top of the CQuartz. I am looking for that slick feel that I have always loved with the sealants on my weekend car. I love touching my car once in awhile and appreciate the super slick curves.

Now, my other question is, is Reload slick?

IMHO: Senseless to apply a 'Coating' then.

^^^This^^^ ...I don't get it.
(I suppose this helps the World go 'round.)

It is universally agreed that:
The less a vehicle is "touched"...
The less harm that can occur?

OH Well...

Having a bad day, Bob? Lol

I wear a new nitrile glove when I am touching my car and I wanted the best protection possible therefore I am trying out the CQUARTZ. I don't see the need to be sarcastic, right?

Are you going with regular CQuartz or UK version?
