My fiance's mother asked me if I could clean up her minivan. I accepted the challenge, knowing it would be a mess thanks to her two boys. I picked the van up and immediately knew I had a long night ahead of me... The first thing I noticed was the smell. It was a mixture of body odor and spoiled milk...

First step was to quickly vacuum the entire van -- looking for legos and other toys along the way. After I had the majority of the debris up, I went ahead and started treating the carpets. This was where the majority of my time was spent, but I was very happy with the results. I used the little Bissell Pro Heat and some Folex. I was amazed at how many times I had to empty out black water from the Bissell! I got a lot of the stubborn stains out with a little elbow grease and a scrub brush, followed up with the Bissell.

Enjoy the photos! I wish I would had taken more after photos but I was exhausted and had to get the car back!

Sheesh!!! I opened this thread right before lunch, thank God!

Great rescue! So what did you learn from this (because we always learn something from our experiences)

Reading this brings joy to my ears lol!!! You did an amazing job and I'm excited I just bought a LGM pro heat and now even more excited to use it

Minivans takes a major beating inside and out thought after all your hard-work I bet that customer couldn't believe it was the same interior excellent work keep it up

That's a night and day difference. You did one hell of job turning that thing around. I bet she couldn't believe how great of a job you did. Plus it always good to be in the soon to be mother laws good graces.

Sent from my HTC One X using AG Online

Goodness I would've solved that by burning it down. Great job cleaning it up.

Wow thats an incredible turn around! I've done a few of those and they are so exhausting but really rewarding to see how much you know and how much the customers (or relatives) enjoy the results.

Great results. Looks like (and probably smells like) new. Let's hope it stays that clean haha.

Thanks everybody for the kind words and compliments! It makes me feel good knowing my hard work was noticed by some fellow Detailers! Again, I really appreciate the kind words!!

I learned that I will NEVER allow my kids to eat and drink in MY car.... Spoiled milk under the seats, a large order of McDonald's fries along with some gum and pixie sticks all over the place...

It was my first time using it and I couldn't be happier for the cost. It takes a little bit of effort but the results were worth it!
I bought a Tornador Black. Only way to go.
How well does this do with cleaning carpets? Would be interested to hear more.
restored my faith in Folex, much respect.
I love Folex... It's almost hard to believe how cheap it is for what it does.

Any thread title with "minivan interior" has the same affect i get when passing a bad car accident...covering my eyes and succumbing to the resitance of peeking through my fingers! I had to look at the befores and glad i did...phenomenal recovery!
