How long did it take you?
What kind of paint is Lexus Obsidian Black (i.e. clearcoat, metallic, single stage.....)?
Great job , nice pix , are you a pro photographer also !
Live about an hour & a half from you mate .
Great job and nice photos. My question is that you applied the wax by hand and removed with a foam pad..did you use a mf bonnet over the pad?
:welcome: Bienvenue sur le forum!
I really like the artistic reflection shot. Your 50/50 did leave a couple of question (such as if you hand polished the scratches in the door handle area, and if the ghosting/haze was because the light oversaturated the picture or if it was that your 205 did not finish well (or maybe you did not IPA the oily residue off the paint)
Other than that, it looks great! Thanks for sharing
Thank you! I applied it by hand and removed it with a Crimson pad. No mf bonnet was used.
Why do you suggest an IPA wipe down before Wax?
I read your compounds and pad choice. And I was already thinking "this is going to look amazing." Big fan of Lexus black paint!
Great work!
Never heard of removing wax with a H20 Crimson pad. That doesn't mean it's wrong. Does the pad load up with dried wax quickly and needs to be cleaned or changed frequently?
Thank you!
One pad did the entire car. It did get a lot of dried up wax on it at the end, not as much as I thought it would, but I cleaned the pad right after the job.
Wow, a H20 crimson pad to buff off wax on soft Lexus black paint with no cleaning and it left no marring. Learn something new everyday.
