Dam nice turn around. I didnt think it would be that bad from when I saw it lol.

What did you all think of the mothers compound and polish. I did my own review on it last year but curious to what everyone elses thoughts were.

Would like thank Monica and her husband Dave for being awesome hosts. They went above and beyond what I was expecting. Had a awesome time and it was great seeing everyone on Saturday. Thank you to Mothers for supplying us with some awesome products too. Can't wait for the next event!

What did you all think of the mothers compound and polish. I did my own review on it last year but curious to what everyone elses thoughts were.

I brought my own polishes/compounds (Rupes / Optimum) and ended up using those because I was familiar with them. But, people seemed to think the Mother's stuff was pretty good.

I did use their trim cleaner and really liked that. It came in a kit with a toothbrush style brush. Probably the only kit of it's type on the market. I also use their synthetic wax in a tin and liked that.

In fair disclosure, I was trying to restore some hammered yellow headlights on one of the cars and used the Mother's headlight kit. While the sanding papers it came with were good - the polish I did not like. It just didn't work nearly as well as Optimum's polishes.

However, the Mother's stuff was an AIO - which may not be the best to use after sanding... And I've tried several of these "headlight kits" or "plastic polishes" from various manufacturers & none of them seem to work as good as Optimum polishes - not even close for me.

Really have to give props to Tuscora Dave. He turned the hood of the black Mustang (1998) from an extremely neglected, oxidized, rid & swirl filled mess into a glossy black new looking paint job. Dave really knows how to fix things that are "jacked up" and is really a true pro. I dot know what makes a "pro" - other than I know it when I see it.

They were some good products! I used the polish on my sister's Mustang which got out most of the light swirls, and Rahul used the compound. I believe he was able to get out a decent amount of scratches on it.

Maybe Tuscarora Dave has some comments on the compound... he was using it on the black Mustang.

Steve- you and Dave were the dream team on that Mustang :dblthumb2:

I thought the compound and polish worked pretty good. My only real complaint about them, was the bottles they came in sucked! You could not put product on your pads without making a total mess. They really need to reconsider that bottle design with a nicer top/cap. But it seemed to have a decent work time, with good cut and wiped off pretty easy while I was using it.

Ha! Finally your video!!!!!

Thx for posting Drew! :dblthumb2:

I saw all the pics and vids, great job there!

I know this, if there's ever a southeast Michigan Detail Day, I'm making it out to that!! (hint, hint!!!)
