Hey everyone,
I saw this stuff on clearance at my local AA store for half price with only 2 bottles left, so I was intrigued so a quick internet search revealed the threads on here about it and how highly regarded it was. So I purchased the last two in the area. I read through the threads in here started by Klasse_Act I think and made a gallon of QD out of one bottle.
My question is what would be the ratio to make a Waterless Wash? I'm assuming half a bottle to 1 gallon based on the ONR ratios I read in the threads here but it was never specifically mentioned. With my method below I believe I'm using 2X the product I need to and that is just wasteful IMO, not to mention it took me 2.5 16 bottles of spray to soak the whole car. is that a lot?
What I do is heavily presoak the panel with Ratio of 1 bottle to 1 gallon (ratio for QD) and then use a microfiber mitt in a bucket of clean water with grit guard. I rinse the microfiber and keep it wet then spray a couple shots of my solution on the mitt and gently wipe the presoaked panel, seemed to work great.
So my questions for you that know are:
1. I have no concept of how far a waterless wash should go, is 2.5 bottles on my car too much? I really presoak the crap out of it, but I wanted to be on the safe side.
2. What would be the proper dillution for a waterless wash the way I'm doing it?
Any advice is greatly appreciated, I love this place and am glad to be a member. Here was my car right after doing my above technique, turned out nice:
