Hi all,

Here's my latest product guide video on gtechniqs exo coating. This is a super durable coating can last up to 2 years!

My video demonstrates how easy it is to apply this coating.

Thanks for your time,

Nice video! I have been wanting to try Gtechniq, but as under the impression that it was complicated to apply. Isn't there another spray or step that you have to apply after the coating cures? From your video it looks to apply just like Opti-Coat 2.0 (the only coating I have experience with). If you have any experience with Opti-Coat 2.0, could you compare it with Gtechniq (ease of application, durability, gloss, etc.).

Don't worry it's not complicated to apply, just make sure your surface is super clean prior to application :)

And yes there is a spray sealant that you can layer over the top, however with Exo lasting up to two years I felt there was no need! Also, I have not used Opti-coat 2.0 so can not compare,

Sorry dude,

Joe

I got a bunch of streaks when i applied exo v2 on top of my c1. I even polish exo back off and tried reapplying and still streaked... is my ipa not.strong enough for removing the excess polish? Then again it streaked on the first application on top of c1.. thoughts?

This could be a number of things really. Most IPA unless it's panel wipe or body shop standards isn't really strong enough. So this may have been a contributing factor.

Or it may have been that you did not get even coverage when applying or removing. If you see this straight after remove, directly reaply to even out the coverage. Also ensure you are always have fresh sides on your towel when buffing.

I hope this helps, Joe

So could I use a body shop prep solvent? Is that essentially the same product? Its used to remove silicone and what not before paint application.. Thoughts?
