Hi everyone! Just wanted to share a Camaro convertible that I had the pleasure of cleaning up this weekend. The customer had contacted me about restoring the gloss and removing the swirls from his black beauty. After speaking with him some more he wanted the engine bay done too. Then the day he dropped it off he decided to have me do a full interior detail as well! LOL. So needless to say after attending the AG cars and coffee on Saturday I had my work cut out for me this weekend. We weren't going for 100% perfection as this is his daily driver and it just doesn't make sense. He even admitted that he car barely wash his own car due to restrictions where he lives.

I didn't grab any before shots of the interior so here are the after pictures.

All plastics and leather were cleaned with diluted APC.
Leather was conditioned with Pinnacle leather conditioner.
Plastic were dressed with a combination of Meguiars plastic/vinyl coating Pinnacle vinyl dressing.
Carpet was cleaned and vac with foam carpet cleaner.
Interior windows cleaned with Meguiars perfect clarity tint safe glass cleaner.

For the exterior.

Washed with Mothers car wash soap.
Wheels/tires were cleaned with Iron-X and APC
Paint was decon'd with Iron-x and Nanoskin fine mit.
Paint was polished with Flex 3401/White CCS pad/ Menzerna PF2500/ Black CCS pad and SF4000.
After polishing the surface was prepped with Pinnacle Cleansing polish before Pinnacle Synergy was applied.
Tires dressed with Meguiars Endurance aerosol tire shine.
Windows cleaned with Meguiars perfect clarity glass cleaner.
Convertible top was treated with Scotch Guard auto fabric treatment.

Here are some 50/50 shots of the car in process. This was with the 3401 and a white CCS pad and Menzernas one step pf2500 polish.

Thank you! On the engine I used some APC and a couple brushes and wash mitts. Then used light water pressure to rinse it down. Once dry I used the Meguiars Vinyl and plastic aerosol coating.

Did you educate the owner on how to "touch" it moving into the future or better yet, put him on a regular maintenance program to let you do all the touching?

Black's not a color... it's a full time job!

First off, thank you very much!!! It was great seeing you on Saturday as well!

When he dropped it off we were discussing the fact of how bad he let the car get. And your last statement about black being a full time job is exactly what I told him word for word. LOL

I mentioned a maintenance plan to him but the issue is he is located down in Wellington which is about 1hr to 1.5hrs from me. Him and Rene with the red jewel 5th gen camaro are good friends. They used to do the cars together when they lived closer to one another. We shall see though. I would love to make sure this car stays nice.

Thank you Tato! That means a lot. The 3401 no doubt has changed how well my clients cars come out!
