The hellcat is not awd.

You can get the Charger RT with the 5.7 Hemi in AWD.
...and add a Vortech to it and some tuning work and you'll have your own Hellcat

Also need to add the much larger Brembo's, add the new 8 speed tranny good to 900+ horse, add the 3 modes of suspension tuning. It's also a roots blower, not a Vortech centrifugal which gives it instant boost.
Add all this to your current SRT and kiss your powertrain warranty good bye. Hell just add a canned tune and kiss it goodbye let alone a full blown custom CMR tue.
I had NO idea that the Charger Hellcat is going to AWD, the Challenger isn't and because its the same platform, for the most part, surprised AWD isn't going on the Challenger Hellcat too.
I find it amazing we (USA) can take the easy way out and shove a large engine and blower into a car, AWD from an SUV and call it a legend in the making. It would be nice to be "ahead of the curve", pardon the pun, and start making smaller cars that handle and accelerate, stop and steer, this is the future, seriously! I'm not just saying this because I have a hot hatch either, just looking forward, you can only look back for so long. I'd like to see a smallish, mid-sized domestic with forced induction, AWD, big brakes (not those fake azz covers Mustang owners use), a manual option and proper tire and wheel packages, something like the Ford Fusion, spelled FuZion w/ the SHO engine, AWD, 6 spd LSD and killer brakes and tire/wheel package, can you say S4 killer! GM can do this too, well, let's get the ignitions sorted out first, with the Malibu, drop in the turbo V6 from Vauxhall, AWD and tune the suspension and have at it! The Regal GS is "almost there" right now, just needs to visit Jenny Craig and add more power to the 4 or drop in the turbo V6 from the Insigna VRX, a no brainer!

Yes, but this is a 5 passenger family sedan that is just as fast or even faster than most exotics. Any car guy had to give props where props are due and in this case Dodge gets some serious props for this accomplishment.
I have a 13 Charger RT black top and its a great family car that runs 13.5 in the 1/4.
That's what I love about the Evo and other Japanese cars such as the Skylines and Supras. About 5 grand in my stock internals engine, converted to E85, 500 plus to the rear wheels (would be over 600 to the crank which is probably the number used for the Hellcat) and I can use a lot of that coming out of a turn without ending up facing the opposite direction. This is out of a 2 liter, 4 banger with about 60k mile on it.
And so far every v8 "muscle car" that has tried something has gotten a "what fer" And this is a straight line where they are supposed to have the advantage. Get them on the track at track days and it's brutal beat down.
And I must have misread something but I could have sworn I saw a male type "who needs 700 HP in a 4 door." Maybe I was dreaming because we all know it doesn't matter where the HP is, as long as you have it. Im the MAN
No props for making a car fast in a straight line. Cars should be able to go right and left as well.![]()
Although I agree with what can be done with an EVO engine or the legendary inline 6's from Nissan and Toyota, we are talking about OEM's here. The Helcat is impressive for what it is, 707 hp is SEVEN HUNDRED AND SEVEN HORSEPOWER!So you are comparing a stock motor to one that has 5 grand put into it? That makes sense.
So you are saying no props to a '69 ZL1 ? If so, thats makes sense along with the first one.
I would love to see what a Hellcat would run on a set of slicks. Someone with a Hellcat please do this
