Not too sure... like I said, the current owner just purchased it recently so the history is unknown... certainly makes you wonder though!Wow, What did they do to that poor car. They must had one those pay 100-150 bucks for 3 months of unlimited (tunnel) car washes and ran the poor car through every other day. That 50/50 shot of the rear quarter panel drivers side is horrifying.
Thanks, Mark! That thing a BEAT to hell! Amazing save, Zach!!! Fantastic work. I bet the owner was VERY HAPPY!!!!
:dblthumb2:Excellent save and work! Very impressive! Nice!! The car looks completely different now. It was a mess!
To be honest... the owner was quite reserved... I think I was happier than he was... but oh well, some people just don't realize how much work this is or perhaps how bad the car was to start with. Nice paycheck either way I suppose.I'll second that "WOW"! Beautiful restoration to flat paint again. I like your diagonally oriented 50/50's, something different in addition to showing the dramatic difference. That E93 owner must've been ecstatic and, no, no new paint needed...let's keep the original!
:dblthumb2:Awesome work. I love jobs where the owner is ready for a repaint in their mind and you bring it back like this. They always appreciate it more.
Thanks, Marc. As I mentioned... the owner was quite reserved... just a nice "well that looks much better" was about the extent of it.Amazing work as always Zach!! That thing was trashed but you brought it back to life! What was the owner's reaction when he first saw his car?
Thanks!your work is astounding.. and your write ups make it even better! keep it up!
:dblthumb2:Wow! What great work and turn around!!
Thanks! I take paint measurements for all vehicles I work on... the vast majority of this car turned out to have been repainted at one time or another, so I am not sure my readings will be of any use to you.Beautiful work!
Since I have this same car in the same color, I'm interested in if you took any paint measurements on this one?
Again, awesome job!
:dblthumb2:Outstanding work...as usual!
Thank you for the kind words!oh my gosh... i am blown away! Your work is absolutely amazing and truly on its own level!!! awesome correction and great work bud! keep buffin!!!
Amen! This right here just goes to show what a great detailer can bring back! Awesome job my friend!!
Im the MANThis is one of those projects that turned out so well that I wish I could see the customer's reaction.:xyxthumbs:

Thanks for reading!Well done Zach! Excellent save, thanks for sharing.
Nor will I, but it makes for a fun weekend projectWay to resurrect this poor car.
Some people spend loads of money on a nice car and then destroy it like this. I don't get it.
:dblthumb2:Amazing work; as always!
Thanks! Indeed we did.Great job as always Zach. Did you use any CarPro pads on your mini?
Thanks! The new Flash Pads are no secret... they are available for purchase right now from CarPro.Those are amazing 50/50 shots!
Are you allowed to show us how the new pads look like?
:dblthumb2:Dude, awesome work! I didn't even realize it was blue until I got to the first 5050 shots...
Thanks!That is what I call a 1st class detail.
Nice correction rate achieved on this one Zach. Was there a reason why you did not try to chase the much deeper RIDS? I can't say I'm impressed, because you been doing awesome work all the time....
great job, I absolutely love your work!
Although it's obvious we'll always find great content on your threads, you keep surprising us (at least me, correct if I'm wrong).
Not only an incredible detailing work showdown, it's a lesson of paint polishing and photography.
This thread in one word: Inspiring;
Thanks for that.
Kind Regards.
Another great post! Those 50/50 pictures are amazing! Keep it up!
Thanks!Zach, as always, amazing.
Mostly for dust removal... I also take this as an opportunity to remove some of the existing oils left from the compounding phase by using IPA on the panels.Fantastic work!
Can I ask why you washed after compound, and before polishing? Is it more for removal of dust, or does it have an effect on the polishing?
