I'm very new to machine polishing and only do my personal vehicles and vehicles on the farm. I've tried a few things on this tractor over the past year and nothing has taken out the dullness or oxidation.

A little background this is a case ih 210 tractor that I use for spreading high salt fertilizer. It sits outside most of the summer and during the winter it is on the snowblower. It doesn't get washed as much as it should.

The hood was oxidized and very faded. I'm using a GG6 and thought I needed a heavy cut polish like 105 and a microfiber pad first. It didn't work well at all. Then I remember reading a post from Richy saying use a yellow pad, get it wet, spin it, and use 205. I was amazed how it worked. With my inexperience I don't know all the terminology but I thought it allowed me a long working time and zero dusting.

I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

Thanks for all the help with products and techniques, by the way the boss was impressed which doesn't happen very often.

I too recently read one of Richy's threads about using this as a one step. Glad to see it worked for you. I can't wait to try it out on somethin.

Meguiar's M205 is a beautiful polish for "sprucing up" any finish. It removes oxidation, embedded grime, minor swirling leaving the finish looking great! :props:

A lot of us having been using 205 to both cut and finish.

It is a very very versatile product, but takes time to fully master.

Good job and nice to see someone taking care of his tractor.

I might try this next time I head to Meguiar's. They always let me try different experiments. The only thing I might have to do different is use Meguiar's burgundy pad. However, I do have a brand new yellow pad so might try and sneak that in :D

anyone have an idea on how long I should let it soak? Since time becomes an issue over at Meguiar's headquarters.
