So this summer I began detailing at home on the weekends to make some money while in summer school. Started with a couple friends then word started getting out and I got more business. Ended up doing 2 a weekend which kept me very busy! The latest project was an Audi R8. Came in with minor swirls and a trashed interior. Did a full correction detail and sealed it with carpro reload. Also cleaned up the engine bay and exhaust tips. Very happy with the results!

For those interested I'll post some more jobs I've done here but my full journal of jobs is here

Audi S6 in for full correction. Absolutely trashed! The before pics really don't show how bad the paint was. The owner was thinking of selling the car. After it was finished he said he's decided to keep it now that it looks like a new car! Haha this was my first job of the summer.

Thank you! I'm not gonna post them all but wanted to share some. Hoping to continue detailing during the school year maybe one weekend a month if I can schedule two per weekend. I mostly detail down in Chapel Hill, NC area because I haven't done much to put my business out there here in Blacksburg, VA.

Sounds like good plans to me, I wish you the best of luck

Stunning!

Nice job on the photos too.

OT: Love all the big trees.

Cg6Lemon--Thanks yeah I tried to start off targeting a certain clientele since there's plenty of business in that group here in Chapel Hill. Hoping to keep it up! I have been asked to do about half a dozen more cars already, just need to get down there and do them!

BillE-yeah I love having them to take pics with. I detail at my house since we have a 4 car climate controlled garage and there are good trees and openings for pics! Thanks!

Keep the good work. Glad you got a lot of work.
I too got work this summer, but on lower end cars mostly. I also like to document all my détails.

Yeah I think it's important to. So I have pictures of every car I detail in a folder on my laptop. Along with what was done with what products and the pricing for the job along with any tips that I received.

Seems similar to what I'm doing. I made an Excel file with all the infos and pictures of before/after in a folder. Easier to remember what was done to the car when you have to do a follow up a couple of months later or the next year.

So when the customer says : "same as last year" you know what was actually done.
