I have had my metro vac n blow a couple of months now the purpose of getting it was so it could be left in the van on mobile jobs with the long hose its one less thing to remove on site good plan I thought.
The performance is ok not the best for real bad interiors for thos eI use another more powerfull unit but fine for express volume regular clients.
My beef is that it creates a realy high pitched whistle at times even when the hose is off im being told this is the norm I just cant accept that they produce a unit which is torture to use earplugs are required im thinking of contacting your goverment and recomending it for future interigation at juan tanamo bay .
Considering the makers claims and the cost its just not on does any one else have the same issues with there unit im being told this is the norm  im not moaning for the fun of it I just want it to run at an acaptable noise level.
your experiances with this product would be helpfull many thanks.

I had a vacnblo for a little while(getting it replaced, shipping damage) and i dont recal any whistling, or super loud noise. I am going to get my new one soon and i will let you know how it is.

Mine has that nose, I cant use it at night....

never noticed it from one used at DF .... did you contact the manufacturer ?? Do they offer a checkup/repair period ??

Have not spoken with metro yet ,had a reply from dwane saying thats the way they are interesting to hear that some do and some dont Metro will be my next port of call.

hum, Dwayne is usually good at anserwering my questions, "some do and some dont" doesnt cut it for me, thats unlike Dwayne. I would agree that you should call metro. let us know what they say.

You could have a screaming bearing. Thats about the only thing in a VAC that wears out.

That makes sence YO Mike not knocking Dwane but he replied its standard due to the amount of air going through the unit does not cut it with me either had to switch hoovers today its embarasing plus it cant be good for my ears over a period of the last two years I have had a lot of stuff imported here to the UK from my supplier whos service is second to none I shall mail Metro this PM and report back my findings.

Metro have replied and sugest that i phone them from England and play the hoover down the phone im not prepared to do that thats ridiculas i have recorded it on my mobile for them and waiting for a reply I have mentioned that ther are others who have the same noise we shall see how we go with this sugestion.
There site shows a pet grooming model I bet the pooches would not put up with this noise .
I have ordered a lot of bits from AG via my supplier this does not fill me with confidence.
Still the fat lady has not sung yet so will sit tight if I get a good service experiance from this I will be happy to spread the word.

Ya mine came back yesterday and it does make a whistinging noise but only when i shut it off, not when im using it. I dont know whats up with metro, my vac'n blo came with a damaged hose, its starting to get just plain ridiculos:mad:, it doesnt seem anyone else is having problems with there stuff coming to them in pieces. I am going to call metro and throw this in their face, i am tierd of dealing with it. I would get your money back and get another type of vaccum Absolute Detail.

mine makes the whistling noise continuously.... only when blowing not sucking for some reason.

I ordered one yesterday. It should be here in a week. I let you know if mine whistles or not.

Didn't even realise you could get a 240Volt version of the Metro but sounds like it's a POS anyway.
