Pad for putting on sealant

I started using the black ccs pad for putting on meguiars 21 sealant and the red pad for the wax. But wondering if I should use a softer pad for the sealant.
Any thoughts.

I've used 4 different LC pads to apply sealants...Black, Blue, Red, Gold.

Could not really find much difference in results. They all worked.

Having said that, I prefer the Red Pad only because LC TS recommended it to me.
